Dan Bajus (owner and operator) of the company was at the property upon my arrival at the appointed time. He was extremely courteous and friendly and got straight to work examining the outside of the house. He took his time, looking for cosmetic and structural faults. He pointed things out to me that, while not being significant in terms of the report, were things that as a potential future owner of the home, I would have to deal with at some point. He continually asked if I had any questions prior to moving to the next area of the home. He made recommendations not only on standard building issues but also potential safety concerns considering I had a young child. He was extremely thorough, running appliances through their cycles, making note of each appliances age, condition and potential life span. He took the panel cover off the electric box, examining condition of wiring, workmanship for the obvious addition, made verbal recommendations along the way. In total, he spent approximately 3 hours at the house, taking pictures and explaining each item he was examining. The inspection ended at approximately 3:30 pm and before 8 pm that evening, the inspection report was provided including complete write up with photo documentation and a summary. The summary was easily used to put together a list of items that needed to be addressed (somehow) in the negotiations with the seller. I am unsure of the typical cost of a home inspection but I felt clearly that I got my money's worth - $375. Excellent experience - if this home purchase does not happen for whatever reason I will call Dan for the next inspection I need.
