The provider was supposed to be our GC. He mysteriously quit but kept
the wood removed from our historic house that I wanted to keep. He
refused to give it back. Turns out, he makes reclaimed wood tables and
sells them. He also charged for permits that were never pulled. Other
items went missing from the house that he claimed were thrown away by
his staff.

OE Custom made a cherry countertop for us with a cherry and maple butcher block inlay. They were wonderful through the whole process.
We couldn't decide between a sealed (waterlox) countertop and an oiled butcher block surface, since we liked aspects of both. They suggested a butcher block inlay in a sealed countertop, and it is a perfect solution.
They were very patient and helpful during the design process, even though it was a relatively small job. The countertop is beautifully crafted and installation was perfect. Both Paul and Lindsey were great to work with, and I am thrilled with my counter. I highly recommend OE Custom.
