Competitively priced against 3 other contractor companies. From initial contact, was at home to inspect issue within hour. Once accepted proposal, came on time, set expectations, and completed work including Ms. Utility and WSSC inspection. Had to clear branches and roots, clearing all debris when job was completed. Excellent service!

On February 12th, 2022, W.L Staten sent a tech out to install a simple easy trap on my basement unit and a wet switch on my attic unit. Since that visit, my life has been turned upside down!!! On that same day, five hours prior, I had my ducts cleaned by another company. Before the W.L. Staten tech arrived, my heat had been running successfully without any problems for five hours prior to their arrival. When the tech arrived, he advised that the install of the easy trap and wet switch would take approximately 40 minutes in total. Almost close to two hours later, the tech was still in my attic installing the wet switch. When I approached him to see what the problem was, he kept saying that there was something with the fan. When he advised that it was okay to turn the heat back on, all of this smoke started coming from my vents in my master bedroom. The room got instantly foggy. When I asked him what he did to my system, he said “it was like that when I came”, which was a lie!! Both systems were in tip top shape before the tech arrived. Prior tSmoke was NEVER coming from my vents!!! I called back to the company and spoke to Chris, who was so incredibly rude to me and was making me feel like I did something wrong! The next morning, February 13th, I woke up severally dizzy and have been plagued with health issues that have worsened ever since!!! The fire department and Washington Gas have been called to get to the bottom of why my HVAC is making me sick. All they can tell me is that no carbon monoxide is being emitted from the units, which I already knew from previous inspections. As time progressed, my dizziness had turned into numbness and tingling in my head, and lower extremities. The inside of my nose, mouth, throat and tongue starts burning every time the heat kicks in. I would get sharp pains in my eyes. My legs would feel weak like they were going to give out. I’ve even had relatives come over from North Carolina to stay with me for a couple of days and they would start feeling sick. Every month since February, I have been in the ER plagued with these symptoms!! I have hired 3 companies to look at my HVAC system and the final company was the ONLY company that thought to check my refrigerant levels. On 5/22 leaks were found in both units, with the attic unit being the worse. I strongly believe both of my units were sabotaged by the W.L. Staten tech. The smoke from my vents was refrigerant that was intentionally leaked. And I have been breathing in those gases, which explains my health issues! What is the probability of both units having a refrigerant leak at the very same time? It is no secret that the technicians at W.L. Staten work on commission which means they’ve got to sell something to make money!! Consumer BEWARE!

My family and I are on vacation and I got a notification saying my house was 50 degrees inside and the heat wasn’t working. Remind you this is a Saturday and I’m in Florida. I called W.L staton and within 1hr there was a technician there. He was able to nail down the issue and fix on the spot. I wouldn’t usually have a someone working at my house when I’m not there, but Jack promised that there workers are unlike no other. He wasn’t joking, santos called me when he was done and explained to me exactly what he did to fix heat. I know they have a program for HVAC upkeep; I think I’ll be doing that!!! The technician came within the hour from my 8 am call, identified the problem, fixed three different toilet parts, and it was all resolved quickly and very reasonably. He explained the issues and kept me informed while working thoroughly and quickly. He even pointed out an unrelated issue with my kitchen faucet, suggested I call the manufactured for a replacement part, and that they would be able to install it at the hourly rate when I received the part. This was the second time I have used the company in about 5 months and will definitely call them again.

They were very responsive to a "wet" situation.

It took a few phone calls and emails to get the estimate from Will Staton. Once we got past that, I was completely satisfied. The work was done well and when promised. We were pleased that they didn't have to do as much digging as we thought would be necessary, and final cost was therefore significantly less than the estimate. It was a big job and I am glad it is done!

All bills for work were fair, plumbers onsite were professional and the owner of the company was great to work with. I will be recommending them to others that need plumbing work as well as using them again on upcoming projects.

The pipe burst while away on vacation. Staton arrived immediately after called by our cat sitter. They capped the pipe, and deployed a wet-vac to get most of the water out of the basement, minimizing the damage to our property.

It went great! Both days I called in the morning and they came out the same afternoon. JT and Evan arrived on time, they were friendly and professional and they got the jobs taken care of in about an hour.

Without a hitch!  These guys come when they are scheduled and know what they are doing.  I trust them completely.

They were timely on their two visits but failed to repair the leak. Had another plumber come out and he took care of it first visit and was substantially less expensive.

Two days ago we noticed some water in the basement, and yesterday realized that a drain in the basement floor was gushing water when the washing machine drained. We called the biggest plumbing company in Annapolis (we had used them in the past, pre-Angie's List, and they were OK), but they couldn't come out for a few days. So we called Staton because of the good Angie's List rating. It was late afternoon by then, so we were pleased that they could come out the next day. As promised, we got a call the next day from a friendly woman saying the crew was on its way. JT and Pat showed up soon afterwards. They made a quick diagnosis and got to work clearing the roots and other debris from the drain. They had me empty a full washing machine and flush all the toilets to make sure the drain was flowing freely. Then they cleaned up and left. Both JT and Pat were friendly and professional. I was completely pleased and plan to use Staton for all my plumbing problems from now on.

Leaking pipe above water heater caused the heater to start sparking.  I flipped the fuse and called them first thing in the morning.  They came out the same day and fixed it within about 20 minutes.

About two months ago I noticed that my well pump was coming on around once per hour even when I wasn't using water. I called W.L. Staton and they came out and determined that the problem was probably a cracked fitting on the well pump. They would have to pull the pump to repair it. I asked if this was going to damage the well pump or shorten its life but they said not unless it was coming on several times a minute so I elected to do nothing at that time.
Meanwhile, the cycling got progresively worse. Saturday moning I noticed it was cycling every 15 seconds so I had to shut off the pump to prevent it from being damaged.
I called W. L. Staton Monday morning and they sent a crew right out. They pulled the pump and replaced two fittings. One was fine (They replaced plastic fittings with brass fittings so I was very encouraging of them to replace both), but the other was completely broken.
Within one hour they had my water back on and functioning perfectly.
I was especially pleased with their responsiveness and the work seems to be top quality.
I will definitely recommend them to anyone and will be using them again for all my future plumbing issues.

They did a terrific job.

It went very well.  Will Staton himself examined the problem and estimated its repair: an aging copper hot water supply pipe had begun to leak from somewhere along its run through a concrete foundation slab.  After leaking, the water was seeping along the pipe and escaping to the surface of the slab and flooding the furnace/hot water area of the garage.
Will advised against attempting to jackhammer the slab to search for and repair the leak. This was uncertain and could lead to more problems.  At 48 years, the home's copper water supply pipes were near the end of their life expectancy, and we could expect more pinhole leaks in future.  Will recommended re-piping the house with PEX high-tech plastic runs through the walls and attic, and abandoning all the old copper in the concrete slab.  That's what was done, and in outstanding fashion.
Will sent Corey Eaton and C.J.  They completed in just over 3 days. They were prompt, clean, and effective on a hard job which took them to tight places in attic and on main floor.  Their skill at making PEX junctions through the smallest possible drywall openings was impressive.  At all times they were sociable, cooperative, knowledgeable, and working, and it seems they could always reach Will or his office if needed for backup or advice.
Two of our three estimates had recommended re-piping.  Among them, I favored W.L. Staton's proposal because it was the only one that included repair/repainting of walls and tile after they had been opened for the repiping.   And his proposal was 40% less than the competitor who did not repair.
W.L.Staton was outstanding in followup after the job was initially done. Phoning the office contact was always a pleasant experience, and response was quick.  Will himself inspected the job the day after completion; he found a tiny drop on a junction and had it redone. In the following days, 6-7 holes in walls were repaired nicely, including shower tiles, and a forgotten hose bib replaced, shower control tightened.

Excellent job.  We had a limited number of tiles that matched the existing shower stall due to the style being discontinued.  They removed the shower base and doors without breaking any more of the existing tiles than necessary. The tub was put in, and using the few remaining tiles, they were able to tile the new tub surround with no evidence of the previous shower basin.

It went perfectly.  Initially I called another provider because they advertise same day emergency service, and I definitely had an emergency.  That other provider told me they couldn't send someone until tomorrow morning, which is 24-hour emergency service but not same day.  I then checked Angie's List and found WL Staton, which advertised Monday-Friday hours with emergency service available.  JT answered my call immediately, listened to my story and was at my house within the hour.  He and his assistant surveyed the situation, made a plan of attack, and went to work.  They spent about an hour and a half total, and when they finished JT gave me an explanation of what they did, what they found (thankfully no roots in the sewer line), and offered suggestions about how that type of clog occurred.  I would recommend them to anyone, hands down.

They're very responsible and knowledgeable.  I have a one followup thing for them to do and they were immediately out there doing it.  The owner of the company has a lot of really good guys working for him, so anybody that has come out has always been really good.  My husband loves to think that he can learn plumbing and he was questioning them all the time and they were really cool with him and helped him learn a lot of stuff.  I felt the price was good when I got the bid.  It seemed like a legitimate number for the kind of service they gave me.  I had a problem with the bathtub and it wasn't because of anything they did but they still came out and looked at it and helped figure out what the problem was.  They were very cool.
