Nye Design & Construction

.  The contracted work included
removing walls, refinishing and extending oak flooring, installing new sink, faucets,
granite counter-tops and back splash,  fabricating
built-in china closets with an integral desk, extensive lighting upgrades,
accessing  our attached porch with a 4
panel sliding glass door assembly, and wall and ceiling painting throughout
Nye based his proposal on the plans prepared by Rick Ruhf of
Ruhf and Plitt Architects (now known as RPH Architecture), together with discussions
with us about our wishes, priorities, and expectations.  His bid was, by far, the clearest and most
complete of all we received---it was also cost competitive.  Mike met with us often during progress to
provide suggestions on design execution and material selection, and generally
to assure that we were satisfied. In all cases, his recommendations improved
function and attractiveness, often with an a superior product or reduced cost.
Nye's staff of talented workers were capable and responsive,
and clearly took pride in the quality of their workmanship.   They
were personable, as well as knowledgeable, and it was a pleasure to have them
working in our house.  Additionally, the
work flow was clearly planned to minimize inconvenience to us.
Our remodel was completed in a totally satisfactory manner,
on time and a bit lower than the budgeted cost. 
We could not be more pleased with the outstanding results, or with our
decision to contract with Nye Design and Construction.

The absolute best thing about Nye Design and Construction are the values the entire staff bring to their work. Professionalism and quality throughout. I never had to worry about compromises. Sub contractors were actively managed and held accountable for their work performance. Mike Nye can contribute design input on a level equal to designers we evaluated.
