 + -1 moreI recently took my 2008 Nissan Versa to Midas for an estimate because my muffler rusted and broke off of the rest of the exhaust system. When I pulled up the, someone came out to find out what was my issue was and pulled my car in to one of the repair bays to check it out. He called me in to show me the problem. He told to go in and have a seat and the manager wouls give me an estimate. The manager gave me the estimate and I need a "qf muffler" and a gasket kit. I ask what the "qf" means he says its just a code we use and laughs. So did a quick search from my smartphone and found the QF stands for quiet flow--it's not a code and i found it for 200-250 dollars cheaper. I ask if I buy the part can he just put it on, he says he won't put cheap parts on my car. The part I found was a factory part. Then he says if I get the part myself he will charge me the difference in the quote in labor. I declined the service and will never take my car there again.

 + -1 moreManager was very straightforward and seemed honest. He didn't charge me for interrogating electrical system as he didn't end up doing any work on the car (for that issue). He changed the battery (didn't try to sell me the most expensive battery) and changed the oil. I would go back here is a second.

 + -1 moreAs usual they did the job as stated and for a reasonable price, usually willing to beat other estimates. The best part of these guys is they never over sell you on repairs. I've had other car shops tell me I need something done only to take it to them for them to determine it's not necessary. These guys are a best friend of a guy that wants to get a few more years out of a 14 yr old car. One time we had a problem with my wife's parking break sticking after the breaks were replaced. The mechanic drove out to our house, adjusted it, and drove it around the block to make sure it was ok. That's good service.
Description of Work: I've been using these guys for several years. They have recently done my exhaust and breaks. They have also done my struts and radiator. As well as my wife's cars breaks.
