I had to cancel the service because it was not very good. For one thing is they had schedule for certain days and we would have to reschedule and when we reschedule, they say no problem and then they show up when we told them not to show up. I just randomly picked them up but I should have investigated a little more. I had to pay a cancelation fee because of a lousy service. I signed a one-year contract and I was going to pay for the rest of the year and then they weren’t coming when I told them to and they weren’t all that great. The cost depends on how big your house is. The price was good and that was reason why I was getting what I paid for.

Our experience with the cleaners that came to our home was great, everyone was very polite and professional. Unfortunately, the cleanings were rarely anything more than just a quick wipe down. Even the rooms that supposedly received special attention that visit weren't really cleaned any better. Additionally, while we had a set day we never knew when the crew would arrive. One week they would arrive at 9am and the next time it would be closer to 4pm. We tried to keep our schedule so that the crews came on our day off but it was hard to get any other errands done when you never knew what time the crews would arrive. While we weren't always happy with the quality of the cleanings, our biggest problems really were with the office staff. They were unresponsive to our calls and emails most of the time. It wasn't until we chose to end our service that our calls were returned.

Positives:  Dependable and staff friendly.  However,  rarely cleaned house as thoroughly as stated on their list of what is cleaned every visit.  i.e. Funiture was almost never dusted even in the room that recieved the" extra deep cleaning".   Good job on bathrooms.  After many conversations with Owner/Manager, problems were not resolved and we terminated the service.

I am very happy with the cleaning start to finish. The girls are very professional and friendly, they get right to work and get the job done, completely.

I have a baby on a nap schedule and work from home, so one of the reasons I chose Merry Maids was because they confirmed they could be done by noon each time they came, so I scheduled them to come once a month.  The first time they were scheduled to come, they called to say they had some issues with their vacuums and weren't going to arrive until close to noon.  The second time they did not call and showed up around 11:30.  The third time they didn't show at all and I had to call to find out there was some issue and they couldn't come at all that day, and rescheduled for the next day.  When they didn't show the next day I called again and they said they thought they'd rescheduled for another day at which point I was extremely frustrated and ready to cancel the service, they begged for me to give them one more chance and would comp the cleaning the next day.  The next day they promised they would arrive between 10:30 - 11:00 and if they could come earlier they would call first.  They showed up at 9:30 without calling.  Working from home with an infant means that I'm developing my schedule and the baby's nap schedule around the time they say they will be here.  They never came when they said they would.  The quality of cleaning was good, I have no complaints in that department it was the dependability and reliability that was the recurring problem.  When I called to cancel the monthly cleanings and explained to the gentleman on the phone the reason that I was canceling, he said very sarcastically "Good luck finding someone else more reliable", which I found very unprofessional and rude.  I would not recommend the Merry Maids of Annapolis.

We have been very happy with them. We have a contract with them. They come out for standard housecleaning every two weeks. We like that the service is under a contract. They are very responsive in going ahead and making sure that they do the work. We have been very happy with the cleaning. We would continue to use them.

They were nice and did a decent job, but not a immaculate job. I was surprised that they could clean my house (2000 square foot, two story, four bedroom, two and a half bath) in the ninety minute estimate (they actually took only one hour). It takes me hours. And now I know why, they rush too much and don't scrub enough. Twice (in three visits) they've left the toilets with brush marks (I presume they just swish the brush for two seconds instead of scrubbing). Around the sink faucet wasn't scrubbed and had mineral build up. The bathroom rugs aren't cleaned, only moved so they can clean the tile floor. I figured I'm paying about $60 per hour for each woman and I have to go behind them to finish. So I'll be looking for another company.

The Merry Maids initial job evaluator was very pleasant, courteous and professional. She asked all the questions that put the work on the exceptional level, rather than just average. This company has trained their personnel to pay a lot of attention to the details. My house was sparkling and smelled fresh and clean when they were done.

I AM HAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE PROMPT, FLEXIBLE, AND RELIABLE. THEY DO A GREAT JOB ON THE BATHROOMS. I DO NOT NEED TO BE HOME WHEN THEY COME, A CONVENIENCE.

THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CONSISTENTLY GOOD. THEY SHOW UP ON TIME AND ARE VERY RELIABLE AND RESPONSIVE WHEN I NEED EXTRA THINGS DONE. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO MY FRIENDS A LOT OF TIMES.

THEY CLEANED A FIVE BEDROOM HOUSE FOR THE LOW PRICE, THEY ARE CHEAPER AND HANDS ABOVE ANY OTHER CLEANING AGENCIES, THEY DO A GREAT JOB AND THEY ARE ALWAYS PROMPT.
