all of my expectations of a professional plumber were good until, about 20 minutes into the job. the device, i believe called a snake, broke off, and became stuck in the drain pipe under the cement slab which our home is built on. jim claimed that the pipe (at about 15 feet in) was probably broken, causing the device to snap off, and not allowing him to pull the remains out of the pipe, only to cause a worsening clog situation. i later talked to an acquaintance in calvert county about the issue, and several days later he arrived and in less than a half hour he removed the broken device and then used a pressurized drain washer to clean the drain pipe about 60 feet out. then, by camera, he inspected the pipe and found no pipe damages or root intrusion. two weeks ago i contacted jp plumbing asking for a partial refund, was told that the owner was out of town, and he would contact me upon his return. i have had no response from any one at the company. i feel that i probably am at the lower end of his priority list.

GREAT!! quick response on a Sunday call and prompt arrival at 9AM Monday morning. Service Technician's Jim and Jeff were very professional and pleasant to deal with. The rainy and cold weather conditions were horrible, but Jim and Jeff were diligent in getting the job done in the elements. I would certainly recommend the company again

I pointed to a drip from the ceiling under the upstairs toilet. The plumber recommended replacing the toilet. After removing the toilet and the seal, the plumber pointed out the gap between the flange and the drain pipe. The price went up. If indeed that gap had been there before the plumber started work the drip would have been a flood, including waste, with each flush. But with the toilet out, we were committed. The plumber finished the toilet installation. The Service Call fee was not discounted when the work completed exceeded the Service Call fee; it was still on the bill. And within an hour of the plumber's departure the leak resumed. The plumber took my word for the source of the leak and made no effort to confirm the source of the leak.

Very well. Plumber arrived on time and worked efficiently. He did let his mask slip when I was paying him but other than that incident, I felt safe health-wise when he was working.

Water was gushing from the well out the PVC pipe. Contacted JP Plumbing and within minutes had a call back from Jim. After describing what was occurring he was on-site with his son-in-law Ed to determine the issue. They immediately identified a a broken pipe 4 ft deep in the ground. They dug the area out and located the broken that had been corroding. Jim cut out the broken pipe and replaced everything needed as it was all on his truck. He and Ed completed the project in about 2 1/2 hours, water back on to the house and cleaned up the area where digging occurred. Can't say enough about how good this experience was and how grateful I am for Jim and Ed responding and addressing our issue. Would recommend JP Plumbing to anyone in need of plumbing services.

it took about 20 minutes total, some soldering required in copper pipes. Quote was flat rate, I thought a little high work done. Other than that great job. I'll try to hire some one by the hour. I realize some plumbers have a show up fee of $100 which seems fair and then even a min of hour billed at $150 hr seems more fair. I'll ask next time how I am billed and look for an hourly quote. The faucets were the $7.99 variety at home depot

The company was very professional, competent and polite. They explained the process as they went along. They even saved my garden beds! They completed the work in the time slated and did a great job cleaning up!

I called this company the day after a big snow storm. Snow was still piled up and driving was still not great.  Jim responded quickly and was able to get to my house the same day.  I admit that I had called two national companies first and they would not be able to get out until the next day, at the earliest.  I found this company on Angie's List and Jim was able to come out the same day.  A toilet had been leaking in the house for several days but, due to the storm, we hoped it would wait until after the snow stopped.  Unfortunately, the leaking didn't stop when the water was turned off.  Jim came out and diagnosed the problem.  He actually helped find an output pipe outside the house under a foot of snow and suggested that the main line might be the problem. Per his suggestions, I called the county and the HOA and they handled the clog in the main line. Jim handled the inside stuff. He was quick, responsive and saved me money. I will absolutely save his number for the next time I need a plumber.
