Ferguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery

I was really pleased with this project. I spent months making decisions and getting over cold feet, but from the time all the items were ordered, it took only about 4 weeks total for the items to arrive and for the job to be completed, which is much better than horror stories I've heard about kitchen remodeling projects in general. The contractor (Cruz Olivarez) was a relative of the designer (Krystal Olivarez), which at first seemed awkward but resulted in a partnership from which I as the client really benefited. Cruz is a talented carpenter, and the custom island is beautiful and the cabinet installation is perfect. What causes me to grade this as a "B" instead of an "A" are the following: 1) After the tile was laid, I had to request retiling of a portion due to uneven grouting, 2) I paid a rush fee for tile to accommodate the contractor's schedule, and then he was delayed, which meant I paid the rush fee for nothing, 3) I was called at 5:30 am by a delivery driver who wasn't supposed to have called me at all; 4) the motor board on the counter-depth refrigerator failed after 2 weeks and I spent a week trying to get it fixed; 5) I was left without even a temporary kitchen for a day longer than promised. But, even with these points, I am very happy with my kitchen and the work that was done, and would use Ferguson's and work with Krystal and Cruz again. I'll also mention that I considered using home improvement stores because I thought they would be cheaper and easier to work with, but they required I use their measurement contractors, and those contractors work from 9-4 Monday-Friday. That's when I work, and I figured I'd need to take time off for the kitchen project itself and didn't want to take time off for measurement. Krystal offered to come to my home in the evening to accommodate me, and she respected my schedule as much as possible through the duration of the project.
