Consynigy Renovations

Services provided: - Install floor tile on kitchen floor. 3/16" grout joint. - Install 1/4" rock board over subfloor with modified thinset and screws. - Install 5 new recessed lights in kitchen using an existing switch leg. - Scrape existing textured ceiling and install new 3/8" drywall over existing. Tape and finish seams. - Move HVAC boot and remove remaining subfloor material. - Install new 20 amp GFI service from breaker panel. Re- power existing counter outlets to 20 amp GFI service. Includes new receptacles and GFI breaker receptacles. - Under cabinet lights - Install two LED style under cabinet lights with two additional switches. - Help finish installing kitchen cabinets. Troy and his team were professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. They performed all of the work above in approximately 4 days, and continued to stay in touch as I worked on installing the kitchen cabinets myself. After they completed the initial work, Troy was always willing to answer my questions when I ran into problems that I couldn't figure out. Also, when I found out that my wife may give birth ahead of schedule, he sent his crew to help me finish up the kitchen so I was sure to have a working kitchen when the baby arrived. My wife and I are sure to recommend Consynigy Renovations to all of our friends and family.

Troy and his crew far exceeded our expectations in all aspects of our renovation. Troy went above and beyond what the average contractor would do to please us. He and his crew were very respectful, tidy and exceptional in their work. Their attention to detail was exemplary. Troy made great suggestions and is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of construction. They met all deadlines and budgets. We were very fortunate to find this company and look forward to many more projects with them. They were all delightful to have around.

The main contact for us was Troy. He responded quickly to our calls, provided an initial estimate quickly, met at the home to confirm the price, communicated his plans and any questions readily, started and ended on time, kept a clean work area with minimum disruption to our neighbors, and remained professional throughout the experience. Troy informed us that we should expect some minor issues with the grout as it dried and to feel free to notify him for his return to 'touch up' as needed; we will be doing that and anticipate prompt and effective follow-through.

We were very happy with all the work that Consynigy Renovations did for us.  Troy was very professional and came out to the house several times to make sure the plan for the work was clear.  They were able to accommodate us and do the work during our vacation so we did not have to live through most of the work.  I was supposed to provide most of the materials but I wasn't sure about a few things and Troy was able to pick those items up for me, to include the shower door.  The tile work looks great and we are glad we took Troy's advice about how to design the tile.  There were a few issues after the work was done but Troy personally came out to the house and took care of each one and was determined to make sure we were happy with the job.  Thank you for all your hard work!

The work Troy and his team did was awesome! They were consummate professionals and left the work areas super clean! Troy was extremely responsive and the work was done at a very competitive price! Troy will do more work for us in the future!

Troy was an absolute joy to work with every day of this renovation which took over a year.  He was patient, calm and provided endless information to the mortgage company while I tore my hair out securing the renovation loan and he continued to be just as great throughout the duration of the construction phase.  Troy's high points are:  superior communication skills, total honesty, attention to detail, creative ideas and solutions to tricky problems, knowledge of most if not all aspects of home construction, great design instincts, and I am fairly sure mind reading.  Going above and beyond seems to be his modus operandi.

A previous reviewer noted how highly Troy's subs speak of him.  I wholeheartedly endorse this observation.  Every plumber and electrician I met spoke glowingly of Troy and told me how lucky I was to have him as a GC.  Troy has since redone a bathroom for me in an investment property I own and ended up doing some minor electrical work to get the apartment up to code for renting.  I have referred Troy to several friends and my architect, all who have been very pleased with the referral and his work. 

Given the time spent on this project,  Troy has become a good friend and trusted member of the family.  I cannot speak highly enough of him and unreservedly recommend him for small and large home renovation jobs.

Troy was referred to us through a friend, and he visited the house and gave us an estimate the same day we called.  We got 3 other estimates and Troy was competitive with all of them.  When we contracted with him, he began work two days later.  He did all the work himself with the help of one other employee, named Eric.  Both were fabulous -- entirely professional, very capable, and trustworthy.  Troy picked up the tile and the materials for us, and got us a contractor discount on the tile, which helped keep costs down.  He talked over grout options with us and offered his own advice on how to match colors.   We picked a travertine stone tile, which was somewhat fragile, but Troy and Eric recommended we buy less than some of the contractors recommended, and finished the job without having to purchase more.

After the work was completed, Troy returned the next day and showed us a small area that he felt was not done perfectly (we hadn't noticed).  He then reworked that area to his satisfaction.  All in all, it was a very positive experience, and we would certainly work with him again.

Troy Chagnon and his crew are consummate professionals.  They performed the work on time, on budget, and kept a clean work site.  They fixed mistakes made by other contractors (including from our last renovation in 2007) and the original builder as they went along--even on things that were not evident to us as the job started.  Even though this renovation did not require reconfiguration of major systems, I feel confident that the systems in my home are in far better condition than before the job started because they have been checked out.  Consynigy was conscientious of our time and the disruption of our small household during the construction, and took extra care to make things easy on us (for example, keeping an eye on an elderly dog and occasionally taking her outside if needed, bringing in packages that arrived while they were here during the day, etc.).    Consynigy's strengths include not only excellent craftsmanship, but problem solving and excellent communication skills.  At the end of virtually every day on site, I had an update of what had gone on that day, what was expected the next day, and any problems or issues encountered.  In addition, I would receive e-mails or texts throughout the day from Troy as questions or issues popped up.  I felt involved and in control of the process.  Troy's design sense is also superb, so decisions that my husband and I were not able to reach (such as on finishes) prior to the commencement of construction were handled as needed, with recommendations from Troy and his subs, and the work turned out perfectly.  One of the highest compliments I think that a contractor can be paid is when a subcontractor speaks highly of the GC.  We had several opportunities to meet with subcontractors outside the presence of Troy and his crew, and all gave glowing reports of how much they enjoyed working with Consynigy.  Likewise, when making recommendations to us, Consynigy gave strong recommendations of the subs.  This mutual respect really made a difference in how the various parts of our job came together.  Not only is the end product absolutely beautiful, but we felt we were in great hands throughout the process and have nothing but wonderful things to say about Consynigy.  Consynigy will be the first company I call if/when I need any improvements on my home, and I am happy to recommend them to anyone I know looking for a contractor for any type of home renovation project.
