At the beginning Chuck was very responsive to me. With my busy work schedule and a couple of delays between him doing some research on windows that I suggested it took two months between initial contact to having the windows installed. I should have been suspicious when he had not heard two of the name brand windows that I asked for quotes for. But he had come highly recommended by a neighbor's son-in-law who my neighbor said is pickier than he. My neighbor's house is immaculate and so well cared for. My neighbors are wonderful and have no affiliation other than work to Chuck that I thought I should give him a chance. I gave Chuck an $8000 deposit to order the windows. A few weeks later new windows were installed. It took one day to install the windows and they came back about a week after to finish of the caulking and framing on another day. Still I thought no problems. It was dark when the work was finished, but instead of waiting to inspect the work, I paid the remainder $3200. Chuck said he would email me my invoice and all the details to claim my tax energy credit. I called Chuck within a couple of days because as I inspected the caulking it was missing in several places inside and out of the house and to follow up on receiving my invoice. After a couple of calls and emails, we set up an appointment to take care of both items. He swore that he emailed me the invoice but I never received it and told him so. He cancelled because it was raining outdoors so I asked me to go ahead and mail me my invoice because I wanted to start working on my taxes. I have since called him several times and sent him many emails. He just has never returned my call. As you can imagine several things went through my head. I had the windows inspected and re-caulked in the places needed. I will always wonder if I really got the windows that I thought I was paying for. I did tell my neighbors of my experience and they were horrified. Their son-in-law still uses Chuck's services. In fact they told me that they even said something to Chuck himself about my experience but I still have not received a call or my invoice. I know I waited a while to write this, but I feel it is important to give someone the benefit of the doubt; also I felt really stupid for being so trusting. So if you use Chuck, proceed with caution.
