They made appointments and never shower. Blamed it on new girl in office. It has been 2 weeks and they saw they still do not have the parts. Carolyn lied and said washer parts were in. I asked for them to come out and fix washer, she said they will not do that, because they would not be paid for the second trip. Called insurance company to complain. They lied and said they did not have parts. Called and Kate stated it was a communication. I can see maybe once but 3 times... Did not answer the phone. Called on my sons line and they answered right away.

"Good morning [Member Name Removed], I think you may have the wrong Appliance Guys . I tried pulling your info in our records and I am unable to find any history with your name or address. We also do not have any new employees here or a carolyn, we are a small family owned business located in Annapolis. Lastly we also do not work with any insurance companies , as it is against our policy here . If there is anything else we can do to clear this up please give us a call at our office 410-990-9006. Thank you and have a nice day !"

Appliance Guys responded first thing Monday morning (today) to a message I left over the weekend. My 10-year-old dryer was making a horrible shrieking. They were able to come the same day. Felipe came after calling to say he was on his way, very early in the 4-hour window. He took apart the dryer and showed me a large belt which was disintegrating-- and I saw black bits of it all over the floor of the dryer. He also removed a guitar pick stuck in the drum. Now it's clean and silent again!

Steve kept us up to date about the parts he ordered. When the parts came in, Mike let us know and scheduled a time for Steve to come for the repairs. Steve was able to fix the range quickly, but when he got to work on the dishwasher, he realized the leak was coming from a part other than what he originally thought. He explained all this in a way I could easily understand. Again, Steve kept us up to date about the new part he ordered (there was a glitch with that, from the shipper's end). Mike got us scheduled again, and a day later was able to move it up a day. Steve came on time, and got right to work. I could tell it was a difficult repair, but Steve stayed in a good mood the entire time. He told us we had some water damage, and he gave us the name of a builder whom he had known for a long time and who would be able to repair the water damage. I really appreciated that. I would not call anyone else for appliance repair, Appliance Guys are super!

When I called the office, my call was picked up immediately. The guy I talked to was pleasant and helpful. I made an appointment for 3 days later, which was fine, I didn't need them to come out sooner. He did have me go through some contortions to get the model numbers of the DW and stove, but he explained it would make the service call more productive, so it was worth it. He also explained how the job would be priced. Three days later, Steve called when he was on his way (which was well within the time frame they gave me). He was very efficient and diagnosed both problems quickly AND explained to me what was going on in a way I easily understood. He researched the parts he needed and we arranged time for him to come back once he had the parts. He also gave me the name of a builder who could repair the water damage done by the leaking DW. Final charge TBD I will post gain when the job is completed.

Tech said fridge was too cold and water line to ice maker was frozen. Circuit board was replace, but with the wrong one. Had to have tech come out and install correct board. Thought issue was fixed but yesterday the fridge got up to 59 degrees inside. After a couple of hours, it went back down to normal 38 degrees. If it happens again, I will call to have them come out.

This was an emergency. The refrigerator had stopped working. The repairman came a couple of hours after I called -- much better than expected. He replaced a faulty compressor relay overload and explained what he was doing as we watched. We were very impressed with the prompt service.

It took several tries to figure out the exact problem with our washing machine but this company was great the entire time. We never incurred any additional costs after the initial estimate and even ended up being refunded $40 despite several parts orders along the way and there being two problems with our washing machine, vice one.

We called Appliance Guys on the 9th and the woman who answered the phone (I sadly, can not remember her name) was able to schedule us for the very next day to my surprise.  We had a call time window of 2-5pm, which was fine with us!
Dave arrived at about 3pm and even called in advance to let us know he was 30 minutes out, which was very convenient!  When Dave arrived, he got right to work checking out the dryer.  He found a metal piece that was vibrating, making the buzzing sound and removed the piece since it wasn't necessary.  While looking at the drying time, he found that the previous vendor we had hired, did not in fact clean our dryer vent which was completely FULL!  He was able to clean it while he was there for only an additional $35.00, which was fantastic!
On this appointment, we let Dave know we had an issue with our stove vent lights not working and also our oven display wasn't working.  We didn't mention this in the initial phone call and Dave didn't have enough time to look at them, so we scheduled an appointment for 3/16/15 as well.
On the 3/16/15 appointment, which was $129.00 he looked at both assembly's and gave us a quote, which the $129.00 went towards fixing.  We have very high end appliances and the stove was quoted at $460.00 and the oven at $664.00.  When Dave had completed taking apart the stove hood and put it all back together, the lights WORKED!!!!  which was wonderful!  We have not yet called them back to fix the oven display, simply because we need to save up to afford the fix.  We will absolutely have them come back and fix it.
Dave was prompt, courteous, professional and can fix anything and we think they're pricing is fantastic!
We will have them back for any appliance repair we need!  We are very pleased with everything they have done for us.

They were fine. There was no problem. He knew what he was doing, he had the equipment that he needed and it was done quickly. It was even cleaned up fine so I have no complaints at all. I would use them again. I didn't have any trouble at with the repair. The guy did what he was supposed to do. I called him one day and they were here the next. They were here when they said they were going to.

Steve arrived exactly when he said he would, immediately diagnosed the problem and was able to replace the broken fan, all the while explaining to us, in terms we could understand, what the problem was. We will definitely use the Appliance Guys if/when we have appliance problems again. We were completely satisfied

My Whirlpool Thin-Twin Stackable washer that is 20 yrs. old needed a new lid switch. It washed clothes well but wouldn't drain. I was able to put a screw driver into the hole that operates the lid switch so the machine did drain and I then removed and dried my clothes. I called The Appliance Guys and spoke to Heather; I told her my washer needed a new lid switch and I gave her the Model number of my machine; Heather gave me an appointment for the next day. The Technician, John, arrived within the time frame/window given; all the technician had to do was replace the lid switch when he arrived. But John didn't have the exact lid switch for my model machine when he arrived so he easily spliced a new lid switch, that he had on his truck, onto the old wire/harness connector from my old lid switch that was still good after 20 yrs, and connected it to my machine. John gave us a price of $242.00 to replace the lid switch. I was a little shocked since I checked the cost of a genuine new lid switch kit, directly from Whirlpool, which includes a new connector and the total price for the entire kit is $29.68. John said since we are first time customers he could give us a coupon for $36 off of the price quoted, so we paid $206. My husband is 73 yrs old and we are both too old now to do these simple repairs for ourselves, so we have to hire others to do these jobs for us. On the plus side, John the technician was very nice, on time, professional, and efficient. He knew exactly what to do and did it well. Heather, the lady who took my call, was very nice and gave me an appointment the next day. I believe The Appliance Guys are good people and we would use them again.

Wonderful. The experience was excellent from the moment I spoke with the office to schedule an appointment to the time John (washer) or Steve (Freezer) left. They were polite, responsive, informative, punctual, capable, and knowledgeable. Fair cost.

It went great. These are good, hardworking people who stand behind their work. When they say it is a 60 day return on service, they mean it. Very impressed and will recommend them to everyone I know!! Straight A's for Appliance Guys!

Appliance Guys were very responsive and were able to schedule a convenient time and they came as scheduled. He determined that the problem was because the burners needed a good cleaning, and he showed me how to do it myself (he gave me the option - he would do it but it would've been more expensive, so I chose to do it myself.) I respected that and I would use them again.

The service charge to show up doesn't include any work. Additional charges to look at additional appliances. If the downdraft vent was properly diagnosed the first time then there wouldn't have been a second trip. I think he was in a hurry to get to his next job. I don't know what the hourly rate was. Couldn't find out and it wasn't written down. I could have fixed the ice maker myself for $125 in parts. The Appliance Guy charged $300 for the ice maker part. Changing it out required removing three screws unplugging the old one and plugging the new one in. The market was almost 50% over full retail which was $225. He popped the new one in without asking if I wanted him to repair it or not. After the fact he said he could take it out if I wanted. Next time I'm going to get the guy that GE sends out. I've used them before and they were much cheaper. I took a chance on this one because he said he could come out sooner but in the end I still had to wait longer because he didn't correctly diagnose the problem with the downdraft which only required some readjusting. Positives are that he didn't leave any mess. He did bring the needed part for the ice maker.
Response from Appliance Guys LLC
"Hi, Mike with Appliance guys here. I'd like to take this opportunity to address and clarify some of the topics brought up in your feedback. The service charge is our fee for coming to your home and doing the most challenging part of appliance repair: diagnosis. Figuring out what’s wrong with an appliance and determining the best course of action to take is our first priority. This is where our knowledge is really put to use. Although we do our best to avoid misdiagnosis, it is a possibility in the world of appliance repair. In the rare case that we have to return to a customer’s home due to a misdiagnosis there is no additional service charge and no charge for the labor performed. From your description of the job it sounds like the technician replaced the entire icemaker, in which case the price you mentioned likely includes parts as well as labor. We always make sure to quote the customer on any work that we do and do not proceed without their approval. In addition, all of the parts we use and labor we perform is guaranteed for a entire year. As far as the technician installing the part without notifying you, it's not uncommon for a technician to install a new part (without charge) in order to ensure that the original part was truly causing the issue. This also helps us ensure that the new part is functioning properly. After this type of diagnosis the customer will be asked if they want to go through with the repair. If they do not, the part is removed and there is no charge. I’m glad you were pleased with our cleanliness! It’s something we take very seriously."

Overall experience was excellent. I used them today for an emergency repair on my refrigerator. I'm one of those people that are very skeptical with home repair services like thes, because an aweful experience with another company I used last year. So I really try to do my homework when I have to have services like these done. This is a great company to do business with. Steve Labow (owner) was absolutely wonderful. He repaired myrefrigerator expediently and explained the issue step-by-step. I will definitely use their services again in the future and higly recommends them to others.
