They are a great company. I really liked when the estimator came out, he gave me a price and offered a $200 discount because I am a returning customer. They prices are fair and consistent. They also try to send the same worker out for each additional job to build a relationship with the painter. I am very pleased with their service.

Very pleased with APS! I was in a situation where my previous painter got sick/MIA and my house was 1/2 prepped/painted and in complete disarray. Since I didn't know if or when the original painter would return I joined Angie's List and looked for a review of painters in my area. After reading several positive review of APS, I called them mid-day Friday, Rob Bontempo came out to my house that afternoon, gave me a quote which I accepted, and the crew showed up on Monday morning. He sent an additional crew and by Tuesday afternoon the job was completed! They did a professional job and I would hire them again. Using the Angie's List 10% coupon made the experience all the better.

The finished work required repainting the entire bathroom.  The work was done on time and the team of painters were careful on that wet day to protect the carpet and clean up neatly and more than expected including the water stains running down the shower wall.  I really valued that they had a knowledgeable and caring person to answer calls and questions.  I would use them and recommend them.

It went excellent.  My mom is 100% satisfied and would recommend them everyone.

After living for several weeks with the color on the bench/step that runs the length of the living room, i decided that it just didn't work.  APS ended up painting the bench 3 times until we arrived at just the right color.  I'm sure this must have been frustrating for them, but you would never have known it by their demeanor.  Professional and courteous all the way.  Thanks guys!

They showed up as scheduled.  Worked neatly, and the end result was outstanding.

I find this company to be really good !  They seriously care about the quality of their work.  I've had 5 of their painters here, and they were all professionals.  They are very concerned  about keeping the job site straight, and thoroughly cleaning up after every day's work.   I'm going to have them paint my garage next week, and I feel certain they'll do an excellent job.

There was a lack of communication between the bosses and the crews.  We would explain problems with the bosses, they would say they would fix the problems, and the problems were not fixed.  We had 3 major meetings with both the bosses and foreman detailing the problems.  The bosses said they would fix them, that work was not addressed.  The foreman continually ignored the problems

The house looks good from the street.  As you get close you see the detail work is terrible.

There was a problem with the estimate, major things were not included in the contract, which should have been known about. We had no problems with most of the add-ons, but some were over the top.

It got to the point that we just paid them off to avoid legal action, and stopped all work.

After my bad grade, the contrator called to make repairs.  My husband does not want them back on the property.

They have been very professional and have done a great job. They have a wonderful reputation in the area and have given me a great price on top of all of that.

12/14/12: A downspout came loose during Sandy. Rob Bontempo sent someone out to repair the downspout as it was under warranty. Rob and his staff are very nice to deal with. There aren't a lot of true professionals out there. Rob takes pride in his work.

Starting with the very reasonable estimate, all of our contact with the company was very impressive. We received phone calls to get paint color, and adding crown moulding painting in one room was very easy and reasonable. The team leader was professional and the employees were all respectful and hardworking. The team of three arrived at 8:30 each morning and worked until 5, with a short break for lunch. They moved the furniture, covered it, replaced it after painting, asked appropriate questions about certain areas, and more than met our expectations. I would definitely use Annapolis Painting again. My house looks amazing and we are thrilled.

Dealing with Annapolis Painting Services was a nightmare from start to finish. Let me start off by saying that I learned a very valuable lesson?do your research on a comany before you hire them. The owner of this company had pleaded guilty in April 2009 to knowingly hiring dozens of illegal immigrants and money laundering. In September 2009, one month before I hired his company, the judge let him off on work release instead of sending him to jail. Watch out for a business model like this one?.a professionally dressed male was sent to my home to do the initial estimate. He took pictures, presented me with a beautiful company folder, and provided outstanding customer service, getting the estimate back to me within one day. The estimate was for the exterior painting of my town home?s shutters, front door, scraping and painting of the trim, and replacement of a large window header that was rotted out. The total cost was going to be $825 which was a little bit more than we planned on spending but we were willing to pay for a job well done. First of all, it took over 3 weeks of me calling to get someone out here to do the work. On the day the work was scheduled to be done, two Mexican males, one who spoke no English at all, and one who spoke very little, knocked on my door and said, ?What do we do?? After telling them what painting was to be done, they began painting my shutters without even cleaning them first! The estimator had told me that they would actually take the shutters down and wash them in a "bleach based solution," dry, paint and re-hang. I was ready to send these workers home and just call it quits, which I should have done but instead I was convinced by the owner to allow them to complete the work. They did the painting while I supervised the job, holding my 6-month-old baby outside in the cold, because I was unsure about the quality of work they would do. Weeks and weeks went by. One morning two men showed up at my front door, unannounced, with the wrong piece of trim for the window header. The job was never finished so I had to hire someone else to replace and paint the trim. Then, months later invoices were sent to me that were incorrect. My last contact with this company in March 2010 was the owner hanging up on me. After this experience, I will do my research before I hire someone to do work on my home. That is why I joined Angie?s List and will use it in the future. Good luck with your painting project!

Would liked to have seen two heavier coats, but overall good quality job for the amount of labor. I felt it was a good value. Put up with changing my mind on trim colors without a problem. Very good people skills though there was a communication problem at times as the crew were not native English speakers.

They were very conscientious and very thorough. They arrived on time and did a good job. I would recommend them. The estimator was very good about telling me ways I could save money, which was helpful.

They recommend power washing the exterior to remove the dirt and mildew, before painting the surfaces. They showed up on time for the estimate.

We were very pleased with the results. Our deck looks great! They came out to give us an estimate quickly and were prompt. They began the work on our time schedule and completed it within the time frame estimated. We were impressed with the low quote and the results.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD, BUT AT THE SAME TIME BAD. THE MANAGEMENT WAS NOT ON TIME. THEY LACKED IN RESPONSIVENESS'. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED TO THE RESPONSE WHEN IT CAME TO MY NEEDS. THE PAINT CREW THEMSELVES WERE GREAT. THEY DID A GREAT JOB.

THEY ARE VERY EFFICIENT. THEY CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY ARE NEAT AND EFFICIENT. THEY ALWAYS COME WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL.
