MTH AUTO SVC

I'm very untrusting of Maryland Inspection Stations. I'm experienced last year taking my car into one and walked away paying a high bill in order to get it pasted. But just a few months again I my car inspected in VA, and that supposed problem wasn't a problem getting me past inspection. I've read many reviews on how honesty with the service stations in MD were. So, I was worried about getting my second car expected, being on a budget. I new of one problem that was on the car, so when I went in to have the car inspected, it failed for just that issue. I had no problem with that. In VA is would have passed (small crack in windshield), but in MD, just because of the location it was in it failed. Easy fix. But being an older car, I was expecting for them to make up some kind of problem that needed to be fix. That was not the case. I will definitely go back.

We took our car to MTH Auto as we just moved to the area and they had fairly good Google reviews. Upon arriving the shop seemed clean enough and fairly orderly. They were able to get the car in within about 10 minutes (they do not take appointments for MD inspections) and we waited about 45 minutes overall. The mechanic came back and told us that we needed new tires and a new front engine mount. We inquired about the cost and were told that with parts and labor it would total about $450. I thought this price was high and stated as much. His reply was that they were the cheapest place the work would be done. We left with the car, called other companies to see what the cost would be and were not surprised when all of them were cheaper than this facility.
