After our new roof was on, they came back out to reattach everything and make sure everything was connected.

Great. We are extremely pleased with the service and our new system. We received estimates from almost every solar company that serves our area and decided upon simply solar because of their responsiveness and pricing. Richard answered all of our questions and completed the project exactly as we had envisioned it. He filled out all of the paperwork for us and did not ask for final payment until our system was fully up and running. Richard is still very prompt to answer his phone and return my calls regarding questions I have had about the monitoring website and solar renewable energy credits even though he has been paid and is on to other projects. If I ever have the opportunity to install another photovoltaic system or expand upon my system, I will definitely hire Simply Solar of Maryland again. Obtaining separate financing and paying for the system up front is definitely the best way to go if you have the credit to do so.

Met with the owner Rich and agreed to have solar panels mounted on the south facing roof.  This was a very personalized transaction.  Rich is straight forward, conscientious, fair and reasonable.  He was here for the whole installation and made sure that everything was done satisfactorily,  both to his standards and mine.  The whole transaction was a pleasure and recommend Simply Solar enthusiastically.

Richard Tate, the owner, came out to ensure my initial estimates and measurements were spot-on prior to ordering any equipment.  I must say Richard routinely communicated any impacts to schedule, for example inclement weather and mandatory county inspections, which were a huge testament for this company in consideration of their customer's time.  Once installed the panels look absolutely magnificent.  All in all I'm certain Richard will work with you to ensure you get a fair price for a well installed and performing system that will save you many dollars in electricity in the future.

I found Simply Solar of Maryland to be professional, timely, neat and thorough.  They have a lot of enthusiasm for their work and believe in providing homeowners with a terrific way to offset energy costs.  Owner/Master Electrician Richard Tate carefully explained the installation process step-by-step and patiently answered all of my questions.  He is extremely knowledgeable about this business and provided information about rebates/incentives and solar renewable energy credits.  He is also meticulous when it comes to code compliance and thus has a great rapport with local inspectors.  My home had some 'tricky' challenges, especially since it is not an end unit and little room was available for the required components.  Richard did a great job of fitting everything in efficiently so that it meets code and does not take up too much space.  In fact, I asked him if he could fit things in so that most of the components would be largely hidden from view by an existing tree (for aesthetics only) and he did so exceptionally well. 
For my installation, bad weather impacted the schedule but Richard did a great job communicating with me and remaining flexible to accomplish the work as timely as possible.  In all, I was very pleased with Simply Solar of Maryland and would recommend them to anyone interested in installing a solar PV system at their residence.
I haven't included costs in my review since for my project Simply Solar of Maryland acted as the preferred installer for a third-party (Sungevity, Inc) out of Oakland, CA.  Also, solar installation costs will vary greatly by location, type of home, system size, etc so including costs could be more misleading than helpful.  I would recommend interested customers contact Simply Solar of Maryland directly as they consider their solar needs.

Richard and his workers spent 3 days working on our roof installing the panels. Richard performed the electrical work connecting the panels to our electric service. Everyone was extremely careful and respectful of our property and our privacy. They were quiet and made sure the work environment was safe. When they were finished there was not a single scrap of any kind left behind. Every aspect of the job was done in a professional manner.We were very impressed with the skill of the workers and with the perfect placement of the panels on the roof. Richard explained what they would be doing as he went along. When he demonstrated the system we were pleased to see that the panels were already producing electricity. We look forward to savings on our power bill for many years in the future.
We would definitely use Simply Solar for this type of project again.
