REED & THOMAS

Another company had checked out the A/C unit and said the compressor was going and recommended a new unit. My realtor recommended Thomas AC Services (changed their name from Reed and Thomas). They came out the next day. He spent a good deal of time going over the unit and discovered insulation was coming off the txv valve, causing it to operate incorrectly. He put new insulation on and tested it. He also determined the cause of and repaired the leaking water out of the bottom of the unit. I am so glad I called Thomas instead of listening to the first contractor and buying a new unit!

Second contractor determined that unit needed to be recharged again and that the automatic overflow shutoff for the water pan below the unit had been disconnected (wire cut, not simply unattached). Had this not been the case, we would not have had water damage. Because of their bad attitude and shoddy work quality, we will never use R&T again, nor would we recommend them to our worst enemies.
