MILES OF EXCAVATING

It is with much dismay and frustration I have to sit and write this review. I do not write these often, however, we feel it’s necessary to highlight the horrific experience we have faced! I would highly suggest that no one ever uses “Miles of Excavating” of Wrentham, MA for ANY service work whatsoever. We had hired this company for a new septic system on a house that we were selling. “Miles of Excavating” of Wrentham, MA had over two-months advance notice to complete the work (ample time in our estimation, as well as the owner guaranteeing it would take only 4 days when we were ready), and the company waited until the last minute to begin, and with that, several issues arose. The owner is completely unprofessional, immature, and has had an extremely toxic work ethic and attitude. After leaving several messages for the owner, this person blatantly never returned our calls. We felt ignored and neglected from a vendor we had hired. Further, in demonstrating his unprofessional behavior, this person hung up the phone on us while we were trying to have a conversation. The owner assaulted us verbally and left us emotionally distressed. This entire experience has been infuriating! The owner also threatened to leave the job multiple times (waking us up at 6:30/7:00 in the morning), as well as holding hostage the “Title V" over our heads, like a ransom situation! Are we in a movie?! Again, demonstrating his complete lack of professionalism. Because of the company waiting until the last minute to proceed, we had to delay our closing to the following week, leaving the buyers homeless and us having to wait additional days to close on the home, paying taxes for an additional week. Their negligence is not only costly, burdensome, but left many parties involved scrambling at the last minute. Don't be fooled! I would never recommend this company to anyone. “Miles of Excavating” of Wrentham, MA cannot be trusted or relied upon. So do yourself a favor and never hire “Miles of Excavating” of Wrentham, MA.

I'm a realtor and I've used them in the past. I've also used him to pump my personal sewer system. He also came out the coldest day in January to dig up my front yard so we could get some wires buried. He's very good like that. He has a wide scope of work that he does with his excavating equipment. He's very conscientious and very good. He knows what he's doing. He's extremely knowledgeable and a very nice person to deal with.

We just purchased a home where the new septic system was installed by this vendor, a month before we moved in.  There are a few open issues with the installation, and this vendor WILL NOT return my repeated calls.  I have left two voicemails and reached
out via an email from their website over the past month, we have not received a call back.
Apparent issues:

1.  1) there are two large sinkholes next to the house right above where the new system was installed, about a foot deep each; each 3 to 4 feet wide by 6 feet long
2.  2) there are exposed areas of the system which may or may not are supposed to be exposed (again, can't get a call back to confirm either way)

 3) the final grading on the area disturbed by the installation was not returned to it's original, level grade; which also doesn't match the as-built drawings on file with the town
 4) the loam used for the final grade contained a lot of gravel, therefore the new lawn is filled with gravel
As it stands it appears that this is a tail-light warranty and the vendor is NOT standing behind their work, nor being responsive.  Buyer beware of this vendor.  If I would only receive a call back, it would go a long way in helping me understand where we stand with these open issues and their willingness to help resolve or not.
