I spoke to the owner personally over the phone and he quoted me $600 for 4 new snow tires, mounted and balanced, "out the door."  I made an appt a week in advance for Saturday  morning. When I arrived the he claimed that the supplier had "screwed up the order"     ( this is despite the fact that their computer system looks about 20 yrs old and they still spindle all their receipts!)
I went and did some errands and he called me an hour later and said he had 4 tires  but these were alittle better and would cost $900.  It was snowing and I was driving up to VT so I was really at his mercy. He told he would "take care of me" next year when i had to change the tires over again. The kicker to all this is that I realized well after the fact that the tires were all Blizzacks but 2 were performance "speed" rated and two were more of a straight up snow tire. The upshot of that is they will wear and perform differently.
I will give the owner credit he has been doing this for a long time and is very convincing over the phone. He was good enough to up sell me into an unmatched set of tires for %50 more than he initially quoted.
oh yea, when i went back in the spring to swap the tires over, his idea of "taking care" of me was to offer to swap the tires for $75 instead of $100. I went to Tire Barn on Grove St and they did it for $60.  NOT recommended!

Martin Tire Sales Co. My experience is very good.  Very good.  They've had my business a long time.  I haven't had any problems with them.  As long as I go to Chuck who is the owner, it's okay.  I thinks it's pretty good.  I'd give it a B+ at least.  I'm a regular and I refer people to him.  In the past I've gotten other quotes to see how bad it is, and he is always pretty good.  Sometimes you can save a little bit of money going some place else, but I'd rather trust the regular knowledge I have.  I go there because it's old, they are funny and he'll tell you you don't need something.  I love that.  I like that.  I stop by and say there is something wrong someone told me the bottom of the car was corroded and it might even need a new gas tank and he said no you don't it's not the gas tank it's some normal corrosion after owning the car for ten years.  I appreciate his honesty and I recommend him to people.  That's probably why I get a discount on the oil change.

I was in the market for a plow and had found an excellent resource online for a Fisher plow that I would have installed by my mechanic. The cost for this option was around $5000, which is about $500 less than the same unit from the local Fisher plow dealers.  I noticed a sign at Martin's shop that said they serviced all types of plows and sold Boss and Snow Way plows, so I stopped in and they were able to sell me a new Sno Way plow installed for around $4400.  They ordered the plow and were able to have it installed on my truck within a few days.  The plow was installed very nicely and provided me excellent service during its first winter of service, where we had well over 80 inches of snow.
I have owned Fisher, Diamond, and Meyer plows in the past and would say the Sno Way is much easier to mount and dismount from the truck and because of its design, leaves less parts on the truck when it is unmounted.  The wireless remote control that Martin threw into the deal is really great because it allows you to leave the truck when putting the plow on or off so you better use the power assist features to mount/dismount the plow.  The only negative thing I have noted it this plow's hydrolics are not as strong as the Fisher I was originally looking for.  When pushing into a snow bank with the blade and an angle, this plow will not keep that angle.  This is not a huge problem for my application, but may slow down someone using this plow for commercial plowing.
