LOWE'S HOME IMPROVEMENT #1206

The installation went OK, although the granite color was not quite what we had picked out, and the fit to the wall behind the counter left some large gaps which I covered over with the backsplash. However after 2 years, I noticed that several large cracks had formed. I contacted Lowe's and went through various level of management in an attempt to get them to stand behind they work. Finally they sent over an inspection team that concluded that the installation was faulty. They hired a different contractor to "fix" the problem. The contractor filled and polished the granite, but commented that it was only a temporary fix. Sure enough, two years later, the countertop is near structural collapse. Lowe's refuses to remedy the issue. And now I am stuck, because I cannot find another vendor to repair a badly installed countertop. Lowe's does not stand behind the work of the contractor's they hire. Do not use them!!!
