We were very pleased with how the driveway came out. The low places were filled (so water would not run across the driveway and wash it out again); a ditch filled with crushed stone was built on both sides of the driveway (to keep water away); and a vibrating compactor -- full sized, professional -- was run up and down the driveway. The driveway was beautiful when completed and has held up much better than the previous driveway.
Description of Work: We hired Govoni Construction to repair our gravel driveway. When our general contractor built our house, they built us an adequate gravel driveway that allowed us to get from the road to our garage. The driveway wasn't designed to accommodate water running down our hill. In the spring of 2011 we had multiple feet of snow melting during a torrential rainstorm, and the driveway washed out, making it completely unpassable. We hired one contractor to patch the driveway to make it passable, but in the summer we hired Govoni Construction to repair the driveway.
