THIS IS THE TREATMENT YOU WILL GET IF YOU TRY AND HOLD HIM ACCOUNTBLE.  WHO CALLS THEIR CUSTOMER A RACIST?  DOES ANYONE WITH A SHRED OF PROFESSIONALISM  RESPOND LIKE THAT?  THEY ARE NOT CAPABLE OF LARGE JOBS... I USED A MOVING COMPANYS BEFORE AND WAS VERY PLEASED.  I HAVE PICTURES I WOULD LOVE TO SHARE  OF HOW THIS PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION PACKS A TRAILER AND CALLS IT ACCEPTIBLE.


 I first want to say that I waited this long to provide feedback  as I have been working with Joe the owner of Good Guys since July 2015 to get a copy of my Bill.  I needed the a copy of the receipt to receive reimbursement for my move.  My copy was lost in the move and I asked for a copy so I can get reimbursed.   I have contacted Joe almost weekly since August and Joe always responds with an apology and an excuse.  It has been 6 months and I still have not received  a copy of a bill!!
It has been a long and painful process dealing with Good Guys.  It all started out very good and Joe was very charismatic and proud of his team.  I looked at his reviews and decided to give him the business.   I needed to move around July 4th and  I was aware this is a extremely busy season.  Joe ensured me he could handle the job and since he gave his team the 4th of July weekend off they would come back ready to work.  I have a larger house and a lot of items so it was a big job, bigger than we thought.  We ended up filling up 2 20' trailers and 1/2 of another one.
I hired Joe's team as I wanted things to be professionally packed and secured in the trailers.  Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.  We provided over 60 Moving blankets and any other supplies they needed.  The move out took two days and  the crew worked hard and was friendly.  Upon opening the trailers on the other end is when it things went really bad.
The professional moving labor I hired to unload initially refused to unload me as they didn't want to be responsible for all the damage.  They said it was the worst packing and loading job they ever saw.  They were even more amazed that I hire a professional moving company to do this.   Overall, I incurred a several thousands dollars in damages to our personal property.  We had just purchased a expensive bedroom set two weeks prior,  it now looked like it was 10 years old.  We have completely broken pieces of furniture and other items.  Joe's team put our 3ft height cardboard wardrobe shipping boxes in the front of the trailer on the bottom.  They then piled everything on top of them.  When we finally located them they were now 1ft tall.  The damage to our stuff was extensive,
I notified Joe and sent pictures of all the damage.  He just blamed the trucking company for driving poorly.  He blamed me for the size of the job and needing it done around the 4th of July.  He made it sound like he was doing me a favor.  He blamed me for not having enough packing supplies. I say again we had over 60 moving blankets and anything else the team needed.  He accidently dialed me on his phone as he was talking to his crew and left a message.   It was Joe telling his crew in a very derogative tone and content about a customer.  The crew laughed  in the background and threw out more insults and condescending remarks..  I can only assume it was about me based on the some of the specifics.  From the start of the issue, Joe was not going to take any responsibility and that was very obvious.
 This was not a trucking problem but a packing and loading problem.  Again the professionals unloading me were absolutely amazed on how bad it was.  .
I have now given up on getting a copy of my bill  and will take the financial loss.  It's now 2016 and I need to move on.

Was a little unorganized with overall communication, but once the guys showed up, they did a great job. Took about 4.5 hours to load up an entire house. All the boxing had been previously done, but they wrapped all furniture and then loaded everything onto the truck. Made great use of the space, which was good since I was paying by the foot for truck space. There was some miscommunication about moving a piano but it was cleared up without issue and they got it onto the truck for me. Only had one piece of damaged furniture on arrival. They were the friendliest and most careful movers I've ever used, and I've moved a lot. I would highly recommend them and it was a pleasure doing business with them.

These guys were fantastic! From the owner Joe to the three guys (Javier, Lewis, and Jamaica) that came out to do our move. They were extremely nice, understanding, and hard working. They took great care of our furniture and even made sure the Uhaul truck was packed tight, safe, and in the manner in which we asked for. Everything was still in it's place when we got to our destination 946 miles later. We were highly impressed with their professionalism and willingness to adapt as we needed (especially while our baby napped while they moved our stuff).

I called Joey to get a quote for loading the truck - he was great and had good advice.  His crew was excellent and very friendly.  They were a little late but called and said they were stuck in traffic - they were coming from Worcester.
The crew hustled for 4 hours loading a three bedroom apartment onto at 26' truck.  They were incredibly friendly and didn't stop.  They could have done a little better with the wrapping of the furniture and used the rubber bands and furniture wrap I provided instead of the tape.  The tape can mar the furniture.
The truck was well loaded and did not shift much during the drive to Virginia and overall I am very happy!

My initial discussion with Joey was pleasant and informative.  Confirmation of the work was done the day before the move was to happen.  The movers got stuck in traffic, but called to let me know they were running late and give me a definitive arrival time.  For six and a half hours, they three guys worked tirelessly.  Justin's eye for organization and placement ensured that every inch of available space was used -- he is amazing.  My experience with Good Guys Movers was wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

These guys were great!  They showed up on time and wasted no time in starting to load our truck.  They worked tirelessly to load our belongings from 2 locations. They were quick, careful, professional and personable.  I would have no problem recommending them to any of my friends looking for moving help.

The two guys worked tirelessly, were extremely careful of the furniture (especially the antiques) and knew how to pack the truck.  I was very impressed with Joey who had to reschedule my move a few times due to mortgage delays. He was understanding, accommodating and offered some helpful advice. I would highly recommend them to help move your furnishings.

These guys are more than good, they're awesome! After a miserable experience with another moving company in the
loading process, these guys unloaded, unpackaged and folded all the furniture pads for these three vehicles in half the time it took to load! Even more impressive is that the house I moved from was single level and this one has three!
After coordinating with Joe, he sent over the team immediately after my closing and they arrived with perfect timing. After a quick intro and tour of the house, they began RUNNING, literally running things into my house. I helped sort things out of the truck and I could barely keep up. A few hours in, they asked politely for a quick, not on the clock, break which they greatly deserved. After a 15 minute pause to catch their breath, they began again and as I said, completed the truck and both trailers in less than 4 hours.
After the work was completed, we settled up via Credit Card, which has a small fee FYI and ended up chatting with the guys for a few minutes and they were extremely professional and great to talk with. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to any and everyone who needs something moved quickly, efficiently and most of all pleasurably!
Great Job Good Guys!

This is the second time we've used Joey and his team as moving help, and I'll continue to do so in the future.  Time and again they've lived up to their name.  We reserved a three-man team for 7 hours to help us move across town.  Joey and his team were on-time, and very professional during the walk-through of the house.  We had everything pretty much already packed up in boxes - ready for them to load it into the truck.  They knew exactly how to play Tetris with the boxes in the truck to make as much fit as possible (I'm still impressed with how well they packed it).  Through a bit of a kerfuffle with the truck rental guys, I had a smaller truck than I had originally  reserved.   Going in, we knew we were going to take two trips to get everything over, but Joey and his team were great about it.  Even with the second trip, we finished the process two hours early.  Throughout the entire process, they made moving day an extreme non-stressful event - laughing, and joking the entire time.  (One guy even took half a minute to play peek-a-boo with the kids in the house across the street.  How cool is that?)
Short version:  These guys are awesome, and we'll continue to use them for any moving needs we'll have in the future.  I will absolutely recommend them to anybody.

Joey and his crew were fantastic. They provided satisfactory evidence of adequate insurance coverage and showed up on time and worked very quickly and completed the job in less time than estimated. They were very careful with our stuff and even wrapped our furniture in blankets before storing it in the garage. They came back when the flooring was finished and were punctual, quick and careful again.

We recommend them without hesitation.

First of all Joey is the most kind and willing to work with you person ever! We had another moving company that cancelled on us 2 weeks before we had to move! In a panic I just started calling every company on the list...of course since we needed to move on June 30th no one had availability! Joey jumped right on an squeezed us in...The men that came to load and unload the truck were just as awesome! They were professional and fast! They moved a large 4 bedroom... 3 level house like I never imagined possible! I can't thank them enough...I have no idea how we would have made the move without them! I would HIGHLY recommend Good Guy Movers!!!

From first contact to job end, the guys were punctual, flexible, thorough, professional, and willing to work with me to make sure things were done well and as I needed them.  The space into which the large, heavy commercial refrigerator needed to go required the movers to move into a sliding basement door, make a couple of tight turns and a controlled uprighting into its final position.  All of this they did expertly and with care to the surroundings.  They wrapped the unit first, so as to prevent doors opening mid-transit.  All in all, the job took very little time.
Their "can do" attitude and their exceptionally reasonable prices set them apart from all other movers I considered.

Good Guy Movers are not just "good" they are GREAT!! We have used them twice and were happy we did. My wife and I moved up to Concord, MA from Pennsylvania early 2013. A snow storm the previous day left about 10" of snow on the ground. But this did not stop the good guys. They were fantastic - professional, took great care of our belongings, were responsive on the phone and via email, and worked hard to unload our truck. In May we bought a house in Acton and called the Good Guys again. They did not disappoint. Again, they were awesome! We have recommended these guys to friends that needed reliable movers and we highly recommend them to you!

Everything went perfectly and all the items I thought would not fit, these guys set aside and made sure that there was room in the truck for everything....including the last minute stuff that I put in just before I left.

Superb! Exceeded all expectations. Very fast and efficient at loading and unloading. Moved our baby grand piano and heavy leather furniture no problem. Called them again to help with moving my son and his family. Highly recommended!

The entire move was seamless.  They were on time, quickly loaded and unloaded and were polite and professional.  Joseph was especially helpful.  Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for help moving and would definitely use them again.

Horrible experience. I hired them in the past to help unload a truck when I moved into my house and had a pleasant experience, so I decided to use them again. That was a horrible decision. Long story short, one of the movers stole a ring from my house. Beware of hiring these people if they have to deal with anything of perceived value.
When I contacted the owner (Joseph Rugar) he was more than willing to help and investigate the situation. Ultimately the ring wasn't found. He said that he fired the guy he suspected, but I don't know if that actually happened. He said he would send me a refund of the amount that I spent on the moving job and I never received it. He claims that he did send it, but at this point I doubt that it got lost in the mail twice. Joseph also offered to drop off the refund on a specific day; I was home that day; he never dropped it off.
Unfortunately, I've tried to give Joseph and Good Guy Movers every opportunity to make this right, but they have failed in this task. I feel bad writing this review because in my previous dealings with them, I thought Joseph was a good person, but this ordeal was such a bad experience.

Excellent. The guys were done in 90-minutes! They were very professional, and were careful with our furniture. They also were very pleasant!

The owner responded to my call promptly. We scheduled a day/time.  The owner gave me a confirmation call the day of the job, and the movers arrived at the agreed upon time.  It was a tight fit getting the washing machine out of the laundery room, but the movers managed to get it out without damaging either the machine or the door and walls. The work was done professionally and efficiently.  There were no glitches with the move.  Would definitely use again.

Overall excellent. I called at 10 am and the crew was there to do the job at 3:15 as agreed. The crew was very nice, courteous, and the unloaded and packed the storage space very professionally, and were very careful with all the delicate items. Great guys. I couldn't believe Joe could get the job done on the same day I called. Definitely no pain moving. Thanks Joe.
