Charter Cable

After a long time on the phone with 2 different people, I got a $5/month discount. :-(

It has been horable, but they are the only one who provides high speed internet in our area. Per month it is $109.00 for the package. They told us things that were available and found out they were really not. They asked for my SS# over the phone and when I did not want to give over the phone they instructed me to come into their office. They provided an address which was not valid. When the techs finally arrived to the house, they installed only four lines, but actually charged us for eight lines. Since they installed their system, my husband and I have each had problems with our computers. Their cable is the only thing that is good. A national news channel is not even available, but they keep telling us it will be offered at different dates. Our first bill was received after the due date and we are still waiting for instruction manuels. In addition, when we received the bill that included the privacy agreement, we found that if we had not previously opted out, our personal information was being sold. We have been receiving numberous calls and have had to have them change our number. Furthermore, they are now trying to charge us for the change of number which they still have not change. The bright spot is that the people coming out to do the work have been nice and competent. The cable picture is excellent, but everything else is horable.
