Dan came as scheduled and on time. He disassembled the entire hardware system, took it back to his truck for inspection and lubrication, and then reinstalled it, operating almost like a new system. He helped me to learn the secrets of disassembly so I could do the planned painting. He realized we might want to match the key for the lock to that for the side door lock, and proceeded to do that work, too. He also offered some tips on how to reduce the drag on door closure caused by the weather stripping and threshold. All in all, a great service experience.

They are the locksmith company of choice here. I like their proficiency and their confidence. They are very friendly and prompt. Their price is a lot but you get what you pay for.

Someone was coming, when I wasn't home. I called them and told the situation. I wanted them to put in new locks and keys. I had doorknobs that were old and not as expensive as they should have been. I needed new ones, and I wanted safety. They knew that, when they came out. When I called them and I told them, he scammed me. He came and told me he knew what I needed as well as wanted. He went ahead and I was locked within. He went into the existing doorknobs. He just moved some kind of mechanism inside the doorknob itself and made new keys with my old keys. He didn't change any lock. He even used my old keys. He charged me $200 for that work. He wasn't here even for half an hour. I called them back again on March 16 because someone was coming in again. He said to me that he came, and he was here for a long time. He said he changed all my doorknobs, and gave me the safety I was looking for. I followed him, and he just changed the mechanism. He made the keys, and he went off. When I called him about the person getting in again in March, he said a woman had called saying she was locked out of her house. She gave them this address. They came out and gave her another key. It wasn't me who was calling them for the key. They should have asked for the I.D. before they give the key to someone's house. They weren't even safe. They charged me so much. When I called them about a month ago saying, I have another problem. Even after changing all the locks and keys, someone still has the key. This is when the person answering the phone put my records in the file. The gentleman who answered the call told me they will have a manager call me. He called me, and he was rude. He was totally not helpful and sympathetic to me anyway. He totally lied saying that he has put new doorknobs in. I told him that they did not. He said the bill reads that they have changed the doorknobs. I told him that I watched them do the work, and I still have the same doorknobs put in by my husband. They charged me for half an hour work. He hung up on me and didn't even finish the conversation. It was totally unprofessional as well.

Lost the keys to a sliding glass door lockset. I wanted it re-keyed for safety. I removed the lock mechanism and brought it to Caola Locksmith. Very friendly and helpful. All done in less than an hour.
