After another locksmith wasn't able to do the job, I went to Alan's Locksmith. Steve quickly overcame problems that had stymied the other locksmith, replacing a transponder chip damaged by the other locksmith. The key and replacement chip were from Midwest Keyless which I bought on eBay. Some Locksmiths won't work with keys that the customer provides. This was not a problem for Alan's. I recommend both Midwest Keyless and Alan's if you need replacement electronic car keys.

I locked myself out of the house and needed help--the first locksmith I called said it would be 6 hours so I called Alan's and they came within 30 minutes and unlocked my door.

Everything went well but the products they used did not seem of high quality. Next time I would buy the locks and have them install.

We are satisfied. The day before they were to put in, in the afternoon, our house was burglarized. At dinner time, my husband called the locksmith and they were at our house 8 o'clock the next morning. They were prompt and did an excellent job as far as I know about putting in dead bolts. They did everything we needed.

They came out out on time, and did an excellent job. They also gave me some suggestions for what to do after we had our house broken in to. They were very helpful.
