Affordable Builder Contractor

Jorge bidded for our job via craigslist using pictures. He confirmed his bid by coming out and looking at the job. He quoted $500 plus parts initially. When he came to do the work, it went up to $800 because he felt plywood needed to be replaced under the roof. He went to Home depot to get the parts - this was a little sketchy because he bought the parts, but never gave me a receipt even though I paid for the parts with my credit card over the phone. This is partly my fault for not asking for the receipt - he might have bought tools and put it on the card too - who knows! Just ask for a receipt if he offers to do this for you. In the end, we still got a fairly good deal, so I didn't want to worry about the $175 parts bill... He has 2 men with him that did the work too. Overall, they did a decent job for the price. I wasn't looking for perfection and that is what we got. There is still a section of flashing that looks like it is missing, but I can't get on the roof to check - its too high. I'm going to call and see if he can fix it. I would recommend Jorge, just be wary that the results will not be perfect. He did what we needed though - to extend the life of the roof until we can get the whole thing done...
