 + 2 moreI purchased two pairs of boots from Shoebuy.com with the intention of keeping one pair and returning the other, depending on which one I liked better. Their generous shipping and return policy was the main reason I decided to try them. Neither pair of boots was what I had in mind, so I went to their website and used their online return process to generate a return UPS shipping label. Until this point, everything worked well. When I tried to print the label, it would only print a blank page. Since their website assumed I had already printed my return label, it wouldn't let me try again. So, I contacted their customer service department (Thursday, March 3) and requested a replacement label via e-mail. They promised one within 24 hours. By the end of the following day (Friday, March 4), no label was received. Saturday, March 5, I called customer service again and was again promised a replacement label via e-mail within 24 hours. By Monday, March 7, I still had not received a label via e-mail. Tuesday, March 8 I contacted my credit card issuer, and disputed the charges. The bank suggested I make one more attempt to contact Shoebuy.com. So, I sent an e-mail to their
[email protected] email address (printed on a card shipped with the merchandise) and explained the problems I was having. Their website promises a response within - you guessed it - 24 hours. As of today (March 11), I still have not received a response of any kind. I'm stuck with merchandise I can't use, and a pending transaction dispute with my bank. I STRONGLY recommend staying away from this online retailer. Stick to the bricks-and-mortar stores for your shoes, where you can try them on and take care of any issues with a real, live person.
