This was a difficult little bathroom, with a badly damaged 1950s unglazed tile floor over an uneven concrete slab. Lots of angled and overhangs, especially around old cast-iron tub that was retained. Some areas of tile were almost completely loose, while others still adhered so firmly that tile broke before adhesive. Slab underneath was both cracked and uneven. Joe and his son stripped everything clean, smoothed and leveled the floor, then did an essentially flawless installation of new linoleum. A few high points: - Edge fit and tolerances generally are WAY better than the original job. - Joe gave great advice leading to choice of an excellent linoleum product, much better for bare feet than unheated tile. - They were very polite and pleasant to work with. - Cleanup (and also general cleanliness during the work) was perfect, very much appreciated and way too rare. - To top it all, they come in with the lowest estimates I got, less than half the price of the highest bids. Honest, good work at fair prices - how refreshing! Finally, before removing the stiff paper template they'd used to cut linoleum, they suggested I might want to keep it to protect the floor during final plumbing, electrical and painting work. A very helpful suggestion indeed: since it fit perfectly, the new floor was well-protected during other contractors' work. Sure wish I'd met these folks about 20 years ago. They will certainly get all my future flooring jobs.
Description of Work: Stripped, cleaned and prepared deteriorated tile floor; installed new linoleum including all finish work.
