Description of Work: Removed 3 trees and ground up 1 stump. They did not make a mess. They did not tear up the lawn.

Description of Work: They took down a tree. It may have been prior to 2012. I had also used them prior to that. Company was run by father with at least one son involved. I dealt with the father who was very accommodating. I do not remember the cost but had compared it with others at the time and it was appropriate.

Description of Work: I called Northeast Tree in late August to set up an appointment for someone to give me an estimate for some tree work. I was assured someone would call me back to schedule an appointment. No one ever did. When another quote fell through I decided to give Northeast Tree another call to see if they might come and give an estimate. I called in early October, they could not make an appointment within 10 days. When they ultimately called back I returned their call and told them I was no longer interested in having them come out. I told them I was disappointed because they had been recommended on Angie's List and that if I was asked I would report difficulty with communications. The person in the office was not concerned that I was not satisfied with their response time.

Description of Work: Remove two trees.using a crane,done in under four hours.

Description of Work: Northeast Tree provided tree removal services on my property in 2013. However, I am writing in response to an incident last Thursday, April 10th, 2014 involving their business and safety practices. On the day before, trees were being removed from a property diagonally in back of my house. On the 10th, noise seemed to be coming directly from my backyard when I returned from a dog walk. I went into my backyard and saw a worker with a chainsaw up a tree on the property right beside mine. He didn't look around before cutting and no one else from the company was within sight. I was showered with spewing woodchips which covered me, my backyard and patio. I ran into the house and waited until he came down. I went over to ask about the woodchips and other debris in my yard. He answered in a language I do not understand and pointed toward some other workers about 30 feet away. One of those workers then approached the work area and said it was the responsibility of the homeowner to inform me of the tree-cutting, not Northeast Tree. I asked if they would be willing to remove the debris that had fallen off the tree into my yard and they agreed to do so. The tree cutter then took down a second tree in the same area, at times trying to balance himself and his chainsaw by leaning on my fragile old metal fence that separates the properties. It seems to me that in the business of tree-cutting the safety of those effected should be considered. I left my premises when they removed trees on my property, having let the neighbor where the trees were being removed know they were coming. In retrospect I'm horrified to think they could have been at risk in a way I could not have anticipated. This time the tree cutter himself didn't look around or call out before sawing, nor was anyone from Northeast tree within a line of vision of the whole cutting area which included my backyard. They agreed to remove their debris from my property when I asked, but no one offered or indicated they had any intention to do so.
