Description of Work: Mark bid on a master bedroom renovation that I'm having done to rewall/insulate, move a closet, install some overhead lights and a skylight. The first appointment he was sick but sent his partner to apologize in person. I appreciated that. He rescheduled for the next week. When he showed up, it was clear he had a lot of experience, pointing out things about my old house that have taken me years to figure out. He sent me a very thorough bid via mail. It was comparable to other bids in total. I ended up going with another contractor but I would definitely work with Mark in the future.

 + 0 moreGreat! Mark's estimate was more than the finished job! Yeah! He and his crew were prompt, courteous, they tidied up and I always knew what was going on.
Description of Work: Mark has twice provided incredible service at a very reasonable price for us! We did a $200k renovation in 2002 (total renovation of our 1922 home - new roof, update electrical, new kitchen, new bathrooms, 2000 sq ft addition) and we were so happy with the work he did we hired Mark again in 2013 to build a teen pit in a basement. Mark listened to what we wanted and we got far more than we expected again.

Description of Work: Mark Swymmer starting working on my house as a general contractor in 2003. At that time he added a 26' x 12' addition to my house, vinyl sided the entire house and added a 20' x 12' deck. We were very please w/ everything about his work. We hired him again in 2010 to put a cantilever roof over our front door & to replace some molding & doors in the interior of our house. Again we were very pleased w/ his work. We are talking to him now about adding a 4 season porch off of our addition. I would highly recommend Mark Swymmer as a general contractor.

 + 0 moreThey were always on time and they stayed within the budget that I gave them. They never tried to overcharge me and they did an excellent job. The workers were also very professional and they made the sale part of it very easy.
Description of Work: They remodeled our kitchen and added a new porch and deck on the back of the house.
