MARIE'S SEWING CENTER

Every couple of years my serger needs repairing. In the past I have had to find out-of-the-way sewing machine dealers and pay about $250 for the service. Marie's Sewing Center is in a major shopping center, convenient to the highway. The cost was half of what I am used to paying and the service was excellent. I would use them again any time.

Dropped off my machine, they fixed it, I picked it back up again. It was a long wait (a week) for an estimate as I recall though.

I visited the store with my 9 year old daughter, who wanted a sewing machine for Christmas. The salesperson described the Hello Kitty model. I returned a few weeks later and purchased the machine. The same saleswoman helped me. Another woman was buying the same model machine. The other customer asked whether she could return the machine if her daughter didn't like it. The saleswoman replied that of course she could trade up to any other machine in the store. I completed my purchase. When I got home on that day, I discovered that the gift was a duplicate. I returned to the store 3 days later with the machine with the intent of returning it. It was still new in the box and had not been opened. The saleswoman who had helped me saw me come in with the box and walked from the cash register to the back of the store. Another employee informed me that the store accepted no returns. I asked the reason for the policy, and was told only that it had been that way since before she started.
