In 2014 they did a great job, and 2015 just went
down the toilet. They didn't show up during the first blizzard, and
couldn't be contacted even after the storm until I finally emailed them.
They were good when they showed up, but you simply cannot get in touch with
them this year whether it is snowing or not - they don't pick up the
phone. We tried several times after that first blizzard to to have our
elderly neighbor's driveway plowed, which is something we had arranged for the
previous year. We had had herzog come out, give a quote, and arranged to
call for that property as needed. Each time I tried to call for them this
year and asked for a call back on their voice mail, we were ignored. When
finally caught Les in the office and tried to voice my concerns about the lack
of communication, he got irrational and started yelling and we basically got
nowhere. Later, when I tried to call several days before an upcoming
storm for our neighbors (which I had been clearing), he started yelling and
said he'd be damned if he would clear out 30 inches of snow for $45. I
tried to tell him it was already cleared and we were just trying to plan, but
he was totally belligerent. Then one of their plow guys hit my tenant's
car - I am sure it was an accident.... but you see where this is going.
At first they said they would get involved with their insurance, and then
suddenly they didn't do it. From what I understand he got into a
screaming match with my tenant, who is one of the most level headed people I
have ever known. Long story short - avoid a headache. They do
a decent job when they show up, but if you have any issues at all that you need
to discuss, you are S.O.L. and walking on eggshells for the rest of the season.
During one trip, the plow accidentally bumped our garage door knocking it out of alignment. Les came out and went way above and beyond to fix the issue. Very pleased overall.
