The best experience! They did the most beautiful job with my bathroom. I had an issue with mold from a poorly placed window before I bought the house that left a wall down to the studs after mold remediation and not only did Sebastian start working on my bathroom within a couple of days after but he suggested we get a smaller window placed higher to prevent repeating the water damage and his team built up the wall on the exterior of our house. It was his eye for improvement and creativity that really stood apart from the other quotes I’d received. The bathroom was gutted to the studs and rebuilt in two weeks. So happy with how it turned out!

Sebastian and his team were excellent. Communication and craftsmanship were beyond what I expected. I have watched a lot of HGTV so I carefully interviewed a lot of contractors and crossed my fingers on my decision making skills. Success!! My project of a new bathroom and a mini bedroom makeover was quoted for 6 weeks and that was exactly how long it took and it looks absolutely beautiful!! Definitely recommend!

I did not understand why it was so important to choose someone very skilled and professional for this job until I saw the way Sebastian thought through the work and all of the complicated decisions. Golden Hammer Remodeling renovated our bathroom and kitchen. They gutted both rooms to the stud, flooring and ceiling included, helped with the new design and completed the full remodel. Sebastian was very helpful with ideas and even sketching out certain features to demonstrate them. The projects were completed within the agreed upon timeline and budget and anything outside the budget was due to additional asks on our end. He coordinated the procurement of all materials outside the scope of the budget (cabinets, tiles, doors, etc) and pretty much took care of everything. He communicated often and clearly throughout both projects, and sent us pictures of the progress while we were on vacation. Sebastian and all workers were very professional and cleaned the project sites as well as other areas affected. They did an amazing job in both cases, our new bathroom and kitchen are beautiful, modern and stylish. Above and beyond work and experience with this contractor, I really recommend more strongly for any remodeling needs and I will be reaching out to them in the future for anything else we need in that area.

Sebastian and his company Golden Hammer were fantastic! They renovated my South End condo, including a complete gut of the kitchen, significant updates to both bathrooms, and other changes throughout the apartment. They were incredibly responsive and easy to work with -- they always picked up our calls, were willing to work with our busy schedules, and accommodated changes easily and without overcharging us. Sebastian managed a lot of different kinds of tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, countertop, painting, tiling, flooring, and more, so we only had to coordinate through him and not with 50 separate individuals. The work they did was beautiful -- Sebastian's employees are detail-oriented and never sloppy. The condo looks amazing and I couldn't be happier.

They not only stuck with the proposed timing schedule, but also were certain to leave the worksite in a clean and orderly fashion at the end of each day. Sebastian is fantastic! He helped us remodel a bathroom and add a backsplash to a kitchen. He was attentive, responsive, and very accommodating. We made some changes to our requests once work started, and he easily fielded them and helped us out. He will take great care of your property, and you can trust him with your house. I have used Sebastian and his team for several projects over the years, and i've always been very satisfied. This time they did a complete bathroom remodel. The pricing was fair, the work was done quickly and thoroughly, and Sebastian was extremely good at communicating. I recently had my entire bathroom and kitchen renovated by Golden Hammer Remodeling. I have so many good things to say about my experience that I don’t even know where to begin. I will start with what I think is most important – Sebastian. Sebastian, the general manager, in my experience was very professional, punctual, and detail oriented. When he said he’d be at my place at a certain time/day, he was there. He and his team did not waste time. They were efficient and would go straight to work. Every small part of the job was important for him. I inspected the work and everything his team built and designed was study, clean, and reliable. I even checked the corners of the floors he installed, the dimensions of the cupboards, the shower, etc – everything was immaculate to me. In addition, Sebastian was very responsive in his communication. He accommodated all my requests with a positive attitude. He has good taste, and made confident recommendations about the designs, but gave me space to have input too if I wanted. I deferred a lot to his decision-making, and I was so pleased with the results. He chose very nice styles for my counter tops, floor, sink, bathroom tiles, and shower. He and his team transformed my old and dilapidated Beacon Hill apartment to something modern and classy that I am proud of. Finally, Sebastian is very easy going and fun to work with. He smiles, laughs, is sociable, respectful, and overall is a very genuine and honest man. I love my new kitchen and bathroom. Sebastian Rodrigues with Golden Hammer Remodeling has recently completed total renovation of the second unit in our 3-story apartment building in Boston. He renovated the first unit in 2018 doing an outstanding job and completed this unit a few weeks ago and it is absolutely beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I live out of state and not able to travel due to the Covid virus therefore we had to do everything remotely, his communication with us was excellent keeping us updated on any issues and the progress including sending video throughout the process. Sebastian goes above and beyond to take care of his clients and promptly addresses issues and is very responsive. We have one more unit to do in our building and he will definitely be our contractor. In addition to these large jobs he has also worked with us over the last two years making miscellaneous repairs to the building as needed. We would highly recommend Sebastian and the crew at Golden Hammer Remodeling.

Sebastian is a good communicator, who worked with me to confirm exactly what I wanted, and let me know what to expect when the work began. Sebastian and his team worked conscientiously and quickly, and handled everything from full demo, upgrading the plumbing and the electrical, replacing the in-shower window, creating a beautifully tiled shower, laying the tile floor, and installing the vanity/sink, toilet, and various accoutrements (towel bars, medicine cabinet). My happiness with the finished bathroom more than makes up for the necessary inconvenience of deciding to fully remodel the only bathroom in one's home. Sebastian and his team did excellent work, and I would hire them in the future to do any additional remodeling in my home.

Right off the bat, my recommendation is to go with Sebastian and his team at Golden Hammer for your home renovation. Wholeheartedly, 100%, without a doubt. I got four estimates for renovating my kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms. The costs ran the gamut. All of the estimates came from contractors with several A+ reviews, but this is why I chose to go with Sebastian. 1. As a single woman (and I speak for myself only), I was concerned about some male contractors taking advantage of me when doing the reno. I had spoken to several over the phone who unfortunately talked down to me or were creeps. And, would they try to overcharge me? Could I trust them in my house? Sebastian was truly kind and respectful and I immediately felt comfortable with him when I met him for the estimate. I know when I have a good gut feeling about someone and I knew that he was who I wanted to work with. 2. He worked within my budget. We were able to work together on where I could modify some of my plans to fit my budget. He was creative and careful when pointing out where I could get away with something a bit cheaper than what I wanted to pay. He also told me up front where I would not want to cut a corner. 3. Sebastian takes pride in his work and has an incredible work ethic. He wants things done the right way, not the quick and easy way. He has always taken his time to get each task done right and has followed up with me to make sure I am satisfied. This also goes for Alex too, his right- hand man who worked side by side with Sebastian on the house. The whole team is responsible, honest, talented and professional – good people all around. I am so happy with the beautiful work Sebastian did on my house and if I need any more work done I will only work with him and his team.

Everyone on the team was wonderful to work with. Very organized, great communication, managed customer expectations, thorough in preparing the job estimate, and the painting work was precise and beautifully done. For our house we just needed the ceilings painted as most of the walls we had painted ourselves. What a difference this made! We could not be happier with our experience with Golden Hammer. We are first time home owners and needed a small bathroom gutted and redone soon after purchasing the house. A lot of contractors considered the job too small, or quoted a lot more than Golden Hammer. Sebastien and his team were great to work with, gave us a reasonable quote, offered helpful suggestions, and responded to all of our many questions promptly. They didn't try to upsell or persuade us one way or another, and we felt confident in their assessment of the best way to do things. The bathroom turned out great, we are very happy with the workmanship! Since that job went so well we reached out to Golden Hammer when we decided we needed our kitchen counters replaced. Again it was a small job, but Sebastien was happy to do it and gave us a very reasonable price. We are very happy with the work! Both times all of the guys who were in the house were polite and they cleaned up after themselves each day. I wouldn't say having remodeling done is a fun event, but they made it as simple as it could have been. We will certainly be contacting Golden Hammer again as we go about making our house our own!

Our electric panel was in poor shape. Golden Hammer electrician replaced the whole panel of 21 breakers with a properly size and safer unit. Then the install easily passed city inspection. Golden Hammer was really professional in all aspects of this project. They also carefully cleaned up after the work. Since then, not a single issue came up.
