CC & C SEAMLESS GUTTERS

Overall, the quote was fine. I received multiple quotes. I am currently using another company to do the work for me, and they were cheaper than this other company. Their estimated price was somewhere over $4000. The salesperson was nice. I decided to go with the other company because they had a better product. I think I would have selected CC & C Seamless Gutters if I had not found somebody that had a better quality product available. I would consider contacting them again in the future if I needed a quote.

I have had some leaks in my porch roof since I bought the house in 2000, but this year the leaks appeared in my living room. My roof is Gambrel style, and the former owners of this house unfortunately had put siding on the sloping sides where there should have been shingles. The dormers in those sloping sides also lacked both waterproofing and flashing, and began leaking as well. The main roof on the top of the house was in bad shape with no shingles left at all in some spots. The gutters, many of which were simply missing or in the wrong place, needed replacing. .... By sheer coincidence, my neighbor across the street was redoing his roof at this time, and my carpenter, who has been a roofer himself, was observing the work. He said that my neighbor's roofers were doing an excellent job and using high-quality materials, and so I hired Vasco Sousa of CCC Seamless Gutters to do the work on my own home. ..... At first, the plan was to do just the entire front of the house. I don't have much money, and the back wasn't leaking. The first estimate, for the entire front, the porch and all the gutters, plus the siding on the dormers was $5200. I was hoping to do the back of the house later in the year, but once the men got on the roof, Vasco came to tell me that the back of the house was worse than the front, and that he recommended doing everything at once. ..... To be honest, I wasn't surprised by this. Because of where the house is located, no one can easily see the back of the house. I quickly realized it made more sense to do everything at once. So, the price was raised by $3000, which included everything they were doing in the front, plus the small extra roof over the bay windows on the side of the house. ..... Vasco Sousa was responsive and professional throughout. He took time to answer all my questions and to explain what he was going to do. The 4 men showed up at 7:30 AM on the first day, just as promised, and completed the entire job in 3 1/2 days. They cleaned up every scrap of debris, and also replaced some broken siding on the back of my house without even saying anything about it. Those men worked very hard, and did a great job. ..... Having learned a bit more about roofs and talked with other neighbors, I know that $8200 for all that work is reasonable, but it is still quite a large sum of money for our budget. It's unnerving for any home owner to have to write a check of that size, and in our case, we had to decide in such a hurry, since the water was pouring in. I have to say that in the end, I was very happy to write that check, and would recommend this company in a heartbeat.

Very responsive for quote on paper which was competitive. He also quoted gutters plus fascia board which seemed to just be aesthetic, I declined. Came w/in next 2 weeks to do the work. It turns out our rafter-tails were too rotted to fix the gutters to, so they nailed unpainted/unprimed wood to the side of the rafter, and nailed fascia board to this to support the gutters. The guy I used to clean the gutters this year said that there were much better ways to reinforce the rafters w/o using unsightly un-primed wood which would again rot.

He came quickly and did it right away. He was great. He cleaned every single thing up.

The initial installation was very good. They did a great job, or so I thought. I noticed that some of the gutters were overflowing. When I went up on my roof to see what the issue was, I noticed that they did not complete the flashing on one side of my house. The gutters were bypassing not overflowing. I have been in contact with CC&C and even had one appointment to fix the issue, but they never showed up. I received a voice mail one minute before they were supposed to be at my house and they've never returned any of my calls. I have literally called three dozen times. I will be filing a civil claim against CC&C due to their fraudulent practices. They did not complete the job and they will not return my calls. It has been two months and I am at my wits end.

I feel like a fool for falling for Basco's slick salesmanship in the beginning. Later when I had to question the price he was charging he had all kinds of excuses like "I must have grabbed the wrong forms" and "try to buy that at the hardware store and see what it costs you" and "I bet my memory is better then yours". From the beginning: Basco, the owner came over Thursday, the day after I called and he priced the job. Even though we discussed the whole job, porches and main house, he put "Whole main house" on the slip and wrote $1400. The porch were going to be $200 more according to our conversation. He said he was charging me "$6 a foot for gutter, these are prices from four years ago". So... at this point I'm planning to pay $1600. Friday morning he called and asked if he could do it Friday and I said sure and mentioned at that time that I would need drip edge because it was in bad shape. When his work men arrived they didn't have the drip edge machine so they would have to come back later. They completed the gutters and told me that it would be $155 for the drip edge at $1 a linear foot and they come by tomorrow to do it. So now I'm thinking that everything will cost $1755. They also wanted to get paid for the gutter work before doing the drip edge. I didn't pay then. However, now with the house measurements I realize he's really charging me $11 a linear foot not $6 a linear foot like he said. They didn't make it back on Saturday as planned. They did call Monday morning and I brought up the discrepancy with the owner. He was very unreasonable, spoke very quickly and would not acknowledge points I tried to make. After listening to his rant in silence he calmed down enough to say he would send his crew over to finish the job that morning. I said OK. They arrived and finished the job but proceeded to argue very loudly in front of the house at 7:15am. Long story short, by bring up this Bosco's pricing discrepancies during the job I got the cost reduced to a fair price however I also got all my neighbors pissed at me early on a Monday morning.

DO NOT use these people. They promised to come clean out our gutters - appt scheduled >1 week in advance, and approaching "too late" season. They finally came, and instead of doing the work promised, said they couldn't clean them but would be happy to replace them for $1100. Their excuse was the gutters were in too poor condition - I ended up cleaning 6 out of 8 of them (the other 2 being too high) as best I could and the gutters are perfectly functional and are in fine condition. Of course by the time they bagged us it was too late to get anyone else to professionally do the job before the snow came. It was either a case of intentional "bait and switch" or they were just too lazy to do the job they had been hired to perform. Never ever use them.

I had exact measurements of house and knew what work needed to be done so they were able to give an estimate over the phone. That was important. Too many companies would not do that and I didn't have availability to be there during the day. Once we agreed they would do the work I had to make a lot of calls to the office requesting a written quote. The owner, Vasco, was available by cell and returned calls fairly quickly. While doing the gutter work he noticed problems with roof. We knew it was about time to replace roof and Vasco's price was reasonable.

They are very good - price wise. The work they did was excellent. They came right out and took an estimate. The work took one day.

It didn't.

The crew was on-time, friendly, and efficient. They listened to my particular concerns about where to put the ladders. I wanted to be sure there was no damage; the whole area is planted and there's no grass. That was no problem. They gave me a specific time a couple of days in advance so that I could be there. There was no debris when they left and I was very pleased with the job.

when we called, they came within a few days to provide an estimate, which was by far the best price around. we called back to request that they do the job and in less than two weeks, they came one day while we were at work, and quickly and efficiently did the job in one day.

CALLED, AND LEFT MESSAGE FOR AN ESTIMATE ON REPLACING GUTTERS. NO RETURN CALL. CALLED 2ND TIME AFTER 1 WEEK. WAS TOLD THEY WOULD STOP BY LATER IN THE WEEK, AND PUT ESTIMATE IN MAILBOX. 10 DAYS LATER, AND NO ESTIMATE.

CC&C JUST DROPPED OFF A QUOTE. NO REAL FOLLOW THROUGH. LEFT US FEELING LIKE THERE WAS LITTLE COMMITMENT TO QUALITY, UNDERSTANDING OF OUR NEEDS, ETC.

THEY WERE QUICK IN COMING OUT TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE, BUT NEVER CAME BACK TO LEAVE THE SAMPLE COLORS FOR THE DOWNSPOUTS. AFTER A COUPLE OF CALLS, I LEFT A MESSAGE FOR THEM NOT TO COME AS SCHEDULED BECAUSE I WAS CALLED OUT OF TOWN. THEY IGNORED MY MESSAGE AND CAME A DAY LATE ANYWAY (FORTUNATELY MY CONTRACTOR WAS THERE) AND THEY DID THE WORK AND LEFT ME SOME EXTRA MATCHING PAINT AND DOWNSPOUT EXTENSIONS. MY CONTRACTOR PICKED OUT THE COLOR FOR THE DOWNSPOUTS AND THE CCC GUYS HAD TO DRIVE BACK TO THE SHOP TO GET THE RIGHT STOCK. I FELT BAD, BUT IF THEY'D DROPPED OFF THE SAMPLES IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER FOR EVERYONE. SO EVERYTHING WORKED OUT FINE.

MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS USED THIS COMPANY AND IT ONLY COST $1400 AND THEIR HOUSE IS A LOT BIGGER. WHEN I ASKED THE COMPANY WHY MY ESTIMATE WAS MUCH HIGHER AND IF WE COULD DOWN SIZE MY ORDER AND INSTALL 2 GUTTERS ON THE FRONT. I WAS ESSENTIALLY VERBALLY ABUSED BY THE OWNER FOR NOT GOING THROUGH WITH THE ENTIRE JOB.

I CALLED ON FRIDAY AND A REPRESENTATIVE WAS ON THE PREMISES ON MONDAY. THE GUTTERS AND DOWNSPOUTS HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED IN OVER 20 YEARS AND WERE SEVERELY PLUGGED. THE REP DID A GREAT JOB UNPLUGGING BOTH FRONT AND BACK DOWNSPOUTS.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB, EXCEPT THE CLEANUP WASN'T SO GOOD. THERE WERE LOTS OF NAILS AND LARGE PIECES LEFT IN THE YARD, AS WELL AS A FEW CIGARETTE BUTTS.

I CALLED THEM TO REQUEST AN ESTIMATE ON REPLACING SOME GUTTERS. THEY PROMISED TO SEND SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THE PROPERTY WITHIN A FEW DAYS AND LEAVE AN ESTIMATE IN OUR MAILBOX. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING.

THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. SEVERAL DAYS AFTER THE INSTALLATION I NOTICED A DOWNSPOUT THAT I WANTED MOVED. I CALLED AND ASKED IF IT COULD BE MOVED (EXPECTING TO HAVE TO PAY) AND THE RESPONSE WAS "IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY, THEN WE ARE NOT HAPPY" HE SCHEDULED HIS CREW TO RETURN AND THEY PROMPTLY MOVED IT.

THESE GUYS DID A GREAT JOB. I WASN'T EXPECTING THEM FOR ANOTHER TWO WEEKS, BUT THEY CALLED AND HAD AN OPENING EARLIER AND SHOWED UP PROMPTLY. THEY WORKED QUICKLY AND PROFESSIONALLY AND THE JOB LOOKS GREAT. NO UNEXPECTED SURPRISES, ADDED COSTS, ETC. THE WORK WAS JUST DONE SO I DON'T KNOW IF THEY'LL BE ANY ISSUES, BUT I WOULD RATE THEM QUITE HIGHLY FOR WORKMANSHIP, NEATNESS, PROMPTNESS, ETC. GOOD JOB THANK YOU!

CC & C SEAMLESS GUTTERS PERFORMED THE WORK THEY SAID THEY WOULD ON TIME AND TO OUR COMPLETE SATISFACTION. WE HAD ONE MINOR DIFFERENCE OF OPINION AS TO WHAT THEY PROMISED TO DO ON THEIR ESTIMATE, AND THEY RESOLVED THIS AMICABLY AND TO OUR SATISFACTION. MY ONLY WORD OF ADVICE TO THEM WAS THAT THEY TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE MORE COMPLETE ESTIMATES. (ON THE PHONE, THEY WERE ABLE TO DETAIL PRECISELY WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO.) THIS COMPANY IS A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH, AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE NEEDING GUTTER WORK DONE.

THE INSTALLATION WAS PERFORMED THIS SUMMER. AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS, WE NOTICED THAT RAIN SEEMED TO BE LEAKING BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND THE GUTTERS. THE COMPANY PROMISED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH.
