Tomas promised that he could complete entire bathroom by July 5. He repeatedly lied that he had gotten permits. He never returned to our home after getting $5400 check. Delayed inadequate one word responses to texts. Only one man appeared for a few hours 3 days the first week and did demo but left debris in front of our house smothering new planting and then demanded an additional $600 at the end of the day (we gave him $50 cash). We asked Tomas to pick up tiles from tile store but he was unresponsive to multiple calls and texts. We had to make 2 trips to tile store because they were too heavy for 1 trip with our car and we carried 23 75 lb boxes of tiles into our home downstairs ourselves (my husband is 74). Same man unexpectedly returned on Monday for 2 hours and spread waterproofing on area to be tiled. Next day he returned with tile man who did 2 walls of shower tiles but was unable to tile recessed insert for soap and shampoo with designated 2" x 2" tiles. Received text from Tomas that he did not contract to install heating pad then texted OK when we sent him copy of contract. Men left at 3pm after only 5 hours of work. Only 22 hours of work performed June 22- July 3. Tile man returned Thursday and tiled another shower wall but did not complete shower ceiling and floor. Instead he removed the toilet & tiled toilet room floor without the heating pad installed first. Tiled toilet room floor incorrectly- tiles were to be laid diagonally following lines of bathtub. All tiles need to be pulled out. We have terminated the contract and want refund of $4100. Offered to pay for 26 hours of labor @$50/hour for horrible service. Need $ asap to hire another contractor. Tomas refusing to refund $.
