Deion and Alexis were very helpful and understanding it’s like I knew them for years. They are very kind. Excited to even work had a lot of energy. I was very shocked because I’d never had great customer service like this before and I cannot wait to work with them in the future.

I called the 800 number and spoke to an agent who explained the service and I told him the junk we wanted picked up. He said that thy only charged by volume and gave me a rough estimate based on my description, but said the agent would give a more accurate estimate when they arrived. Everything he told me was consistent with the information on the web site. I made an appointment for the following week. We piled all the junk into three piles to make removal easy. The first truck showed up on time (even called first to tell me when to expect them). However the truck was nearly full. They did quote me a price ($350 - $450) on the junk. They said the final price is based on exactly how much space the junk took up in the truck. They also scheduled me an appointment for the following morning. The next morning I received a call from a different driver during the previously scheduled window to tell me they were running late and gave me a window in the afternoon. They had incorrect information regarding the amount of junk I had - no information from the previous driver. They called again to say they would be even later in the afternoon. When they arrived they gave me an estimate that was consistent with the previous one with one notable exception. They said that I had some "heavy" items - 4 cinder blocks, a few ceramic tiles left over from a tiling job - about two or three tile boxes worth. They said the heavy items would add approximately $350 to the quote. They refused to honor the quote from the driver who came the previous day, claiming that he was inexperienced. This increment seemed outrageous to me, so I removed the few "heavy" items from the junk and let them proceed with the rest of the junk. There is a picture of an agent with a broom on the main page of their web site, but they did no clean up after removing the junk.

I scheduled the appointment on Friday night, they showed up on time today (Saturday).  And even called to tell me they were on their way.  I already had the items on the curb, so they were here an gone in 10 minutes.  I actually expected it would cost a bit more but they charged me the minimum pick-up fee which was $178.  The nice thing was there's no commitment when you schedule the pick-up...in other words, if you don't like the price you don't have to use their service.  I never used these guys before but would definitely use them again.

This company cost a bit more than others who provide the same service, but I feel more confident in their level of professionalism. I don't mind paying more to be sure the job is done right. We had a number of large items we want removed from our property and called them to schedule. The scheduling was easy and done well. On the appointed day the 2 servicemen were extremely late. They said their previous customer had a small job scheduled but the customer keep adding items to the job while they were there. I can see how that happens. (in fact I think I did the same thing to them ;) But once they were there they got right to work. We had a dinner date so we were not there at the finish, but my neighbor was kind enough to check-in with them and sign off on the job. They took everything and sweep the garage. Overall it went fine

They were right on time and quick. What I like the most about this company is that they find ways to recycle or donate items that are in good condition. I have used them several times and have recommended them a lot .

Dominic and Rich did exactly as I asked them to do. They were courteous, efficient and outrageously good. They even sang when they were taking heavy furniture out of the house.
These are good people.
Thank you, Dominic and Rich.

Picked up trash from home project promptly, well trained staff, very clean and thorough service.

The price originally estimated seemed very high, but when they completed the load, they calculated an actual price that was right on track with their ad's.

I used the online web site for GOT-JUNK to order the service - an interface that is very well designed, and provided clear options for timing. (I should note that I'm guessing about the service coming via the Boston North branch, since everything goes through the one web site and 800 number.) I was contacted by phone by a real human being to confirm the date and time. On the day of the pickup, I again received a phone call shortly before the beginning of the two-hour time window that I'd set, and was alerted of the approximate time of the truck's arrival, which was pretty accurately estimated. The truck arrived with two very professional and very helpful young men, who inspected with me the things that needed removal, gave me a price quote on the spot including details about additional charges required for disposal of the computer equipment, and then when I agreed, set to work immediately. They completed the work quickly but carefully, and came back in with shovel and brooms to clean up all the dirt and small and broken items that remained on the floor and shelves. The basement hadn't been so clean in years. They also picked up shards and other small items that had fallen between basement door and truck, so everything was left very neat. The service isn't cheap (which is why I rated B on price) but given the outstanding quality, I think it's worth every penny.

I called in a panic when I realized my big easy chair had mold - to which I'm seriously allergic. Called at 12:45 and they arrived within 20 minutes. Two nice guys and an appropriately scaled truck.
They were courteous and professional, got the job done quickly and calmly within a few minutes, and will dispose of it approrpiately.
From panic to relief in half an hour! Excellent, and the easiest thing I'll do all month!

It was a good experience. They were friendly and courteous. They stuck with their estimate. It was clear that they were fitting as much as they could in their truck.

This is the second time in about 45 days that I have used 1-800 Got Junk. We have been emptying my parents' house in preparation for selling. Both times they came on time and performed excellently. I feel that their prices are more than fair. Their workers are polite and very hard working. They removed more fifty years of accumulated stuff.

First of all, when I called for information, I spoke to a young, articulate woman who was fairly aggressive in making an appointment for a free estimate which I would be able to back out of, theoretically. (I had time constraints, however, and had to accept whatever , regardless. I assumed the compromise would be on price; I was willing to pay to have my stuff disposed of ethically.) They made a big point of saying, more than once, that they would appear within a "two-hour window" from 1 -3 and that someone would call to let me know more specifically , " so I wouldn't be waiting around". Someone did call @ 11:00 that morning and said they were on track, might even be on the 1:00 side of the window, they'd call back again with more info. Two o'clock came and went. I tried to call the number and got voice mail. Called the main number. Was told they'd be there @ 3. Three came and went. Called and was told they were in Salem , MA finishing a job. (I was in Lowell and it was approaching rush hour.) I had been at the house since early that morning, needed it cleared out for the walk thru the next day and was becoming seriously stressed. The guys finally arrived @ 5:00, with a fairly small truck, at least a quarter to a third full. My stuff didn't look like it would fit. To get another truck or wait until the next day was not an option. They said if it didn't fit, they could leave the stuff on the porch and come by in the morning to remove it. (Hard to trust them at this point, however!) They loaded the stuff and smashed it in (my son and I helped) and it "fit". But there was NO WAY any of this would be usable again. It was smashed to fit it in. Or thrown randomly. It was just like a moveable dumpster, not a recycle service as implied in their advertising with the clear pictures of old , but very intact, furniture. The guy admitted that most of it goes to the "transfer station" , i.e., garbage dump. Despite the stress around the actual service, what has prompted me to write this is the bad feeling I have that when planning the move, it was really important that all the stuff I had and couldn't take, but didn't have time to sell or donate, would be used. Some of it was almost new. It also kills me that some designer coats, clothes that could have been sold by a non-profit and worn by someone this winter are sitting under garbage somewhere because I was rushed and/or the advertising for this company was misleading.

They work in a very timely manner. They are very professional. Not only did they clean up after themselves, but they cleaned up after my people. They broom swept afterwards, and it was a reasonable price.

Probably because the company name suggests picking up the phone, we did not search out their website and that was a mistake. We were told that the minimum charge was $124 which seemed reasonable. We were not told that that was literally for only the first single item which could be no larger than a small bureau as illustrated on the website. Only by a close study of the website is it possible to understand their elaborate pricing system which involves the volume of the load measured in cubic yards, they have diagrams. A ratio of the proportion of "bedload" to volume, and significant incremental charges per fractions of a load in a truck smaller than the fancy illustration. 1/6 load = $233; 1/2=$438; 7/8 = 639. We were the second stop so the truck arrived about 1/3 full and could not take all of our items, which turned out to be a good thing since the basic rate for a full load is $658. Our cost added up because there are many surcharges we paid for: tires (no rim) $8; tires with rim $12; computer monitor $20; air conditioner $25, etc. And then the truck bedload charge: 1 bedload = 3 cubic yards = 10'x8'x1', with a minimum 1/4 bedload charge of $276 which holds very few items. In the end we paid $550 for what took two men about a half hour to load - - we had it all piled and ready to load. When they left I called customer service and expressed my dismay. I was given the above info on the phone which was just thoroughly confusing. I went to the website and there it is all spelled out and explained. I'd recommend that they direct phone customers to the site before asking them to make a pick-up appointment. This seems to me a less-than-straightforward process to put it mildly.Had I known the actual fee scale I certainly would have called other hauling services for estimates.
