easy fix. other plumbers told me I would need to replace the entire unit. It took less than a minute to fix so I had my toilet fixed as well!

Called Charlie on that morning. He came by a few hours later and confirmed that the water heater needed to be replaced. He initially told he me he might not be able to install it until the next day but called later that morning and informed me he could install it that same afternoon. While he was replacing the unit, he also replaced some rusted old water pipes. He removed the old water heater and piping, cleaned up and tested all the water to make sure everything was working before he left. I have called Charlie a few times for water heaters, gas heating system and other plumbing problems. He always comes by the same day and fixes the problem. I would recommend him.

Charlie is the best - very responsive plumber, nice friendly guy, gives it to you straight, and doesn't do work that doesn't need to be done. His representative when you first call in can be a bit curt, but once Charlie calls you back, he shows up as soon as he can, even on weekends and is just very pleasant and down to earth.
I wish I could find other reliable tradesmen - just a general handyman! - as helpful and reliable as Charlie!

Sillari Plumbing is great to work with and provides prompt & efficient service. Charlie is very insightful and will sometimes try to troubleshoot for a solution over the phone with me (saving me the cost of him coming down). He tries to get as much information as he can about the problem when you speak to him so when he is onsite, he is ready with a solution. I ask a dozen questions when he is fixing a problem and he is always thorough and patient with his answers which helps me understand why and how he is doing certain things. Of the coupe of plumbers that we have price compared in the past, Sillari always turns out to be the best deal without a compromise to quality. He was recommended by my sister who has been very happy with his service and I can vouch for the same.

Hot water heater replacement emergency....he responded to our call within 1/2 hour and was at our house with a new hot water heater within 20 minutes. He installed a new hot water heater and took the old one out. Very professional and thorough.

I was extremely pleased with everything. He came on time . the work was done fast and everyone was very pleasant to work with . His prices were very fair and commensurate with the work done.
I had had a couple of estimates from large plumbing companies which were ridiculously out of line with reality e.g. one large well known company gave an estimate which was 30% more for basically the same work ... on top of that they wanted a huge amount for removing the old oil tank ...almost .twice as much as it cost to install it 4 years ago !
Charlie Sillarii also helped me out with a few problems like getting me oil to keep my old system going until the day of installation ,which was beyond the call of duty or his job description. When a few minor glitches occured after the installation ( a leakiing water valve ) he was very responsive and came immediately to fix the problem....and he came in really terrible weather.
I would thoroughly recommend Charlie Sillari. He is extremely reliable, honest and very straight forward and very pleasant and reassuring to to work with. As an older person it was a somewhat alarming experience to be replacing my heating system right in the middle of winter but Charlie was exceptionally reassuring. He was both pleasant and practical. The co- ordination between all the sub contractors went smoothly and all aspects of the work were carried out in a highly professionel and competent manner.
I would definitely hire him again for any large or small plumbing job.

He finished the work in less than half an hour. He comes quickly when I call him. He is not good in interior plumbing work. He finishes the job quickly and efficiently and that's what I want. He does it in a professional way what I expect from a plumber.

I have not gotten a bill yet. It went great. I have used them a lot of times before. I have used them for a couple of years now. He was very reliable and very trustworthy. His work was very meticulous.

Charlie Sillari ihas been our regular plumber for eight or nine years. I've recommended him to many friends as I have always been happy with his work and his prices, and he is now my friends' regular plumber as well.
The work is always done well, promptly and at a fair price. He does respond to calls in a timely manner, though since he's on his own, not with a big company, it can take a day or two (best to call between 7:30 and 8 am!)
I have only one negative thing to say about him, and that is that he talks only to my husband and not to me. Oh, he says hello and such to me, but when he's talking about the job it's ONLY to my husband. He came over and checked some things out before replacing the old heater, and when he left he said he'd call my husband. I am an adult woman who owns and manages this home as as a full partner and this bothers me.

He is great. I have been very pleased. I think that his prices are better than a lot of other people we have used in the area, and he also does very good work and is responsive. He came out in the middle of the night once for a plumbing emergency. He was here at 2 in the morning, was here for over an hour, and charged under $300. He does good work, and I have recommended him to all of our friends. I would unreservedly recommend him, and as far as reasonable prices, you can't beat that. That was even with the extra middle-of-the-night super emergency cost. We have been through about four plumbers, and this is the one we've kept. Getting him on the phone in the first place can be difficult, but he is great.

Did not clean the furnace, when asked about the poor quality of the job started yelling on the phone. Very rude and incompetent.

"I got an emergency call on a Saturday for no heat. I arrived at the house within 30 minutes of the call and found that the thermostat was sticking. I checked the boiler and it was fine and in working condition. After looking at the boiler, I found the smoke pipe on the boiler was beginning to rot away. I told the customer that it should be replaced soon and that the approximate cost would be around $225.00. I told the customer to call me if they would like the work done. I charged them $100 for a Saturday, emergency, no-heat call and also to check the boiler. I called the customer after I did not received payment and they believed they were overcharged and the customer was very rude. I explained that the money was owed for work done and if I did not receive it, I would send it to collections. They called for a no heat call on a Saturday, and I had it up and running within an hour of the phone call. These charges are fair and justified."

For pointing out to us a hole where something had melted in the bottom of the dishwasher, but no ability to fix it, and for taking a root out of the bottom of the disposal, we were charged $100 for that 10 minutes work. There was no up front information that we would be charged this rate, nor an option give for an estimate only. I took good Angies list ratings on trust, so am disappointed with the unprofessional outcome.

"I was called to the house because of dishwasher was leaking and the disposal wasn't working. Upon arrival, I diagnosed the problem. The bracket for the heating element in the dishwasher was broken. The heating element was resting on the plastic tub of the dishwasher and melted through it causing a leak under the dishwasher. I explained that we don't repair dishwasher and that he would have to call his appliance repairman. Their disposal was jammed and I removed debris, restoring the disposal and it was in working condition. I charged them $100.00 for the diagnosis and for the work done. This is my normal rate and I feel it was justified. I've never had a customer complain about paying for work that was done. I always explain the charges to my customers. There aren't any hidden costs. I feel this review is unfair."
