+ -1 moreSteve is fabulous for a lot of reasons. For me, his greatest assets are his artistic talent and ability to make recommendations, and also his keen attention to detail. I almost have OCD when it comes to wanting things done perfectly with no loose ends or sloppy work. If it can be done, Steve will do it this way. I am absolutely spoiled by his thoroughness. He's also very honest, bills reasonably for his work, and is pleasant to have around the house. In the photos here, the rooms are all in the midst of various projects, but the first shows a bathroom where Steve did the faux marble walls (and hung my mirror and patched several huge holes seamlessly). In the second photo, we asked Steve to do a strie around the room and he did exactly that. In the final photo, we asked Steve to create a faux that would pick up the background in the painting hung on the wall. It is worth noting that Steve can do patchwork after-the-fact on faux such that you won't even know it is patchwork.
Description of Work: I've had Steve do various projects for me. He's an artist who has done fabulous faux work for me in a few rooms. His favorite work to do is the artistic work like murals and faux, but he's great at all painting and really knows his products well. He's also come in with his sanders and brushes and done clean up after contractors have done things in their usual just-get-it-done way. Examples would include paint touch ups, filling in leftover holes and scratches and getting them to disappear, wood refinishing, and light handy work like hanging fixtures but getting them straight and hung properly. Because I've had Steve do so much work for me, I really can't put a price on the project, but I find his work to be competitively priced. For a little less, you get a lot less, so it isn't worth it. He charges different prices for different work that he does so it is hard to give real numbers as a result. He also always offers sample boards.
