Xpress Movers moved my family about 20 miles within Massachusetts. The setup process with Felipe was very smooth, but things went downhill from there. The moving crew arrived late to pack the original house, nearly destroying a powerline in the process of parking their truck. Two of the three crew members struggled to speak English, which was extremely frustrating. They moved so slowly that I wound up carrying most of the boxes myself. 
When my items were delivered to my new home, the first item out of the truck was destroyed. The item, a heavy ceramic grill set inside of a wheeled cart, was broken into hundreds of pieces. The crew spent half an hour apologizing, and admitted that they hadn't secured it properly. They then moved the destroyed remnants of the grill onto my front lawn, and started bumbling their way through the remainder of the boxes. Most of the boxes were delivered to the wrong room, since the crew that couldn't speak English also could not read. Several other items were dinged, dented or destroyed during the move (it happens), but nothing matching the value of the grill. At the end of the day, they refused to remove the destroyed grill, and tried to charge me for the time that they spent apologizing. 
During the claim process, the office manager Annie proved to be as incompetent as her employees. I got so frustrated with her inability to return a phone call or an email that I nearly dropped the claim. Accidents happen, especially when you're moving, but my experience with Xpress Movers was terrible. Save yourself the headache, and use a different company.

We used Xpress movers because we had hired them previously and the experience went fine. My belief is you see the true side of a company when there is a experience that does not go as smoothly. For this move we had a terrible experience and would not use them again. Their price is very fair but they sent us three men, of whom I would say the majority of them were not full time employees or professional movers. We had three pieces of nice furniture damaged (dining room table ruined, leather couch torn and wood dresser scratched). I understand that damage can happen but this seemed excessive. The claim process is through an external insurance company, we are still in the process of completing the paperwork. Besides from the damage what upset us the most was that when the movers first arrived we asked them to please let us know if any material they were using was going to cost us extra as we had bought many of our own supplies and did not want to may additional costs if we did not have too. Throughout the move they shrunk wrapped every item they could (couches, mattresses, etc.). At the end of the move they charged us a ridiculous price (in my opinion) for the shrink wrap. For example a crib mattress cost us $17 to shrink wrap....we were never told that this was going to cost us more until the work was completed and they demanded the money. We were also still forced to pay for the shrink wrap on items that got damaged (the leather couch). I complained to them after the move happened and although they returned my call they were not willing to do anything except point me in the right direction to file a claim on the damaged furniture. I would not recommend Xpress movers to a friend, if you are going to use them watch closely what materials they bring and try to use during the move, you will be charged for them. Keep your fingers crossed that they have a good crew working that day as well. It's probably worth buying the better insurance coverage if you have valuable items.

For claim processing as you were explained over the phone, Xpress Movers does not handle those, but a third party insurance company specializing in moving damages. We value your opinion, but unfortunately we will have to disagree with your statement for the moving crew. Your July, 2014 move took 7hours again with a crew of 3 people and $61 in packing materials. Your January, 2015 move took 6.5 hours and $108 in packing materials. When you spoke with the office, you were explained that your January move has more items than your July move. You were walked through both prices for compare (almost equal for both moves),as at the time of the move that was an issue. You seemed very understandable. When you noted the damages, we tried to resolve the issue on site with you, but unfortunately our attempt to do so was denied by you. That left us no choice, but to follow the guidelines for filing a claim for damages. The insurance coverage you have selected was the basic liability coverage at $0.60 per pound per article. With the limited coverage, we could not issue a full refund as you requested, even if we could and have handled your claim directly. Once again, we do regret for the damage that occurred. We believe we have fulfilled our part of the contract and have provided a great service. Thank you for trusting Xpress Movers again and for choosing us among other moving companies!"

This company did an awesome job, the best I ever had. They did thorough, sufficient job (just look at the pictures) and I would really truly recommend them to anyone. If I had to use this company in Florida I would use them. I thought the price was awesome from Massachusetts to Florida thank you and have a good day. The final now will be when they get to Florida which will be Tuesday the 22nd and get feed back my cousin who will be meeting them at the storage unit....Again thank you, thank you and thank you....

Overall my experience with Xpress Movers was amazing. The sales person Felipe was very responsive and explained in details many possible scenarios that could occur during the move. the price estimate was within my range and the next day delivery date sealed the deal.
The moving crew that did loaded my belongings did an excellent job and took care of all of the furniture and carefully wrapped all of the kitchen boxes. I couldn't have asked for more. I would use their services again without hesitation and I can recommend them at any time.

The service was terrible. When the movers came to NYC to pick up the goods they had picked up other goods already and did not have enough space for all of their belongings in the truck which then necessitated my son having to pay the super of his apartment building to store some things overnight until Xpress movers could come back the next day to complete the move. Then, after the agreed 12 days of storage, Xpress movers showed up in Brookline MA late and without the mattress and frame. They promised, both by e-mail and verbally, to locate the missing items and deliver them. They did not and then stopped taking our calls and e-mails. VERY unprofessional and we are out the cost of the replacement mattress and frame.

They were the cheapest estimate I got and they had fairly good reviews, so I decided to go with them. I was told that a form would be emailed to me and I'd have to fill out the form and send a deposit of 10% of the estimate. Nearly two weeks went by and I had not gotten the form, I checked my spam folder and my trash and it was not there. I called on a Monday morning and the woman on the phone told me her keyboard was not working and she'd take down my information and look later. Tuesday afternoon rolled around and I had not heard back from her and still had not gotten the form. I called again and the woman on the phone looked up my info and said the email was sent, when I told her I had not gotten it she told me to check my spam folder. I told her I had and it was not there, she told me she would send it again. She was incredibly snotty through the whole exchange and the tone of her voice suggested to me that the simple act of sending an email was a great inconvenience for her. She refused to admit that anyone in her office had made a mistake and kept insisting that it must be in my spam folder (as a side note, I do not even have a spam filter set up for the email I used so I don't technically even have a spam folder.) I asked her to take my name off their list as I would be taking my business elsewhere. The email did arrive in my inbox, and the form I was to have filled out required me to write down my credit card information and send it in the mail as the only way to put down a deposit. This strikes me as being incredibly unsafe for the consumer. Even if the form had arrived when promised, I still would not have gone with them as there is no way I would ever write down all of my credit card information and put it in the mail.

I have not used them, but just I wanted to share my experience so far with them. They were the closest one to me along with the Gentle Giant, which were also good and responsive in all my questions.
