Skillville did an amazing job on our bathroom remodel. Bruce provided clear information about the quote, what could potentially impact that quote as we moved forward, the timelines that we expected to follow, etc. Covid19 created a challenge because just as we were about to start, everything shut down. Bruce checked in with me every 1-2 weeks to let me know what was going on and when they expected to be able to start. Everything was delayed for about 6 weeks (completely understandable, given the circumstances). When we did start, he was clear about what his subcontractors would be doing as part of safety coming into my home. Every person vigiliantly wore a mask, wiped down surfaces with disinfectants wipes that they brought with them, communicated with me via text to reduce needing to be face to face, etc. I felt that they really cared about my health and safety, as well as themselves. Bruce laid out everything that we would need to shop for and provide ourselves, emailing me details like measurements, etc, so that we could pick out items like a tiles, vanity, mirror, toilet, and other pieces of bathroom fixtures. If I was unsure of any items, he was patient with my questions and made sure I was on the same page with what I needed to have on site for the upcoming steps. The project came in right at the quoted amount and within the projected timeline. Considering all of the added challenges, I couldn't be happier with the results. The bathroom looks great and I'm already thinking about what project to have Skillville come back for next!

Skillville was first hired for a bathroom remodeling in 2017. The job was well-organized and completed professionally and beautifully. The GM worked diligently on project management -- as a result, the schedule of the crews aligned well with the inspectors, & project was completed on-time. I rehired Skillsville to replace the roof this summer. The roof and clean-up were done well and the price is reasonable.

Homeowner for 20+ years, with several construction projects and varied contractors used. Skillville is only the second contractor who I felt compelled to publicly support. During the initial (individual) scoping meeting with four bidders (including the prior roofer), my wife and I were impressed with Bruce's attention to detail, ability to listen and discern what two engineers were looking for. His personality and rapport with the customer was a pleasant change from others who gave a more cookie cutter approach (including one who scoped it from his car on the street, never even introducing himself). Bruce's bid was competitive and perhaps more importantly, clearly identified the line item quantities, unit price and any assumptions he made. Such attention to detail allowed us to comfortably have a professional conversation regarding some "adders" I wanted (additional ice/water shield), with no BS by adjusting other prices. Just as important as the bid process and award of bid, Bruce's crew showed up as promised and worked extremely long days in order to finish the roof prior to a significant downpour (no leaks!). Further, and this cannot be understated, the job-site (my front lawn) was kept extremely clean and well organized. There were no remnants of the former shingles, tar-paper, etc. laying around. In fact, I found less than a dozen roofing nails after they left, which is **** near impossible on a project of this size. In short, Bruce and his team have made my "short list" of contractors for future projects and will freely offer my recommendation for those who may ask.

Excellent service from bidding process through end of the project. Workers were very courteous, spent the extra effort to keep landscaping and interior in good shape and area cleaned up, and were very efficient completing the project in a short amount of time.

The Skillville Team was was in our home for 2 days, very professional, did a great job with attention to details. Cleaned up both days and made sure there was noting left onsite before they left. Very satisfied with the completed job.

It was a great experience, as always. They take the gutters apart and run hoses through them to clear them and resealed the backs in some cases because they were leaking. We have been using Skillville for years. They always do a good job.

Skillville did a great job. It was a tricky job because the space does not allow for conventional stair configuration and also is hampered by the surrounding shed. We will hire them again.

Everything passed inspection, the guys worked really hard each day (I know because I was home for most of it and the guys almost took no breaks), the owner Bruce is very responsive, understanding and willing to come back and answer any questions or concerns you may have (I'm a new home owner who's overly worried and could annoy some guys, lol). The price was a little high but that may be the nature of things when everyone has more work then they can do and are booked for months in advance.

I went well right up to the end. Bruce owns the company but doesn't do the work, he stops by to supervise but is more of a manager. I found the workers, especially their finish carpenter to be good at the detailed work I needed them to do. At the end of the project however I thought things started to get sloppy. The kitchen island was installed un-level taking me an afternoon to fix. The cabinets were installed without toe kicks so I'll have to finish that work myself as well. There plaster guy did not show up on the job so they had to hire a team that were unfamiliar with and although their plater work was good overall they spilled lot of liquid on the new unfinished oak stairway causing me to have to deep sand the treads before applying stain and poly. All and all ok work, not great.

Bruce and team were great, very punctual, explained the whole process of the repair from beginning to end, showed me pictures of the damage on the roof and worked non stop for two days. I would definitely recommend Skillville Corp to anyone looking for roof/siding repair and I will use him in the future to repair rotted siding.

Bruce is a fantastic contractor, he listens to your needs, keeps you informed, always return calls sooner than later, respectful , is the only contractor i worked with that gave me a sense of comfort and trust in his skills. Without any question if future jobs will be need i will talk to him first. I strongly recommend his company, Fair price, rapid response and very quick resolve

Bruce and his entire team did a wonderful job on our bathrooms, bedrooms, and hallway. The outcome was incredible and we could not be happier. His team was highly professional and very easy to work with: they showed up when they said they would and put in a full day’s work. If Bruce did not come, then a member of his team would show up. They started work on the bathrooms, bedrooms, and hallway in June and finished in late August. One of the reasons it look longer than expected was that my sister added more things to the list than what was originally discussed. If we had an issue, he would address it right away and did what he could to fix it. He always responded to our phone calls and emails. Often times, we were not home during the day, but we felt completely comfortable leaving Bruce and his team in our house. What I especially liked about Bruce is that, in the end, he really cared about making sure we were happy with the finished product. From the experiences I've heard from other people regarding contractors, that is not always the case. We would eventually like to do our kitchen over and we would definitely have Skillville do the job if they were available

Bruce was great to work with! Came out to give an estimate within days of contacting him. We discussed how to best handle my front porch as I wasn't sure how best to fix it. Estimate was received the next day. The work was actually completed while I was away, but I was pleased to see everything was completed and looks great when I came home from vacation. My neighbors were also impressed with how courteous Bruce and his crew were. I will definitely be using them for future projects.

Bruce responded to my inquiry promptly, scheduled time for an estimate, and arrived on time. Summer is a busy period for construction work, and the heat and humidity was bad this year, so the crew could not get here for a couple of weeks after initial expectations. However, Bruce kept in touch by email, which works for me. They arrived when promised, worked hard, were careful, courteous, answered my questions, did great work, and cleaned up thoroughly. I wouldn't hesitate to use Skillville again, and I appreciated dealing with Bruce and his crew.

Excellent! The outside trim had a lot more work than we thought. They spent a lot of time sanding and stripping to bare wood. Painted by hand - looks as new. Roof was done quickly and with no screw ups.
