I contacted Richard Casey for this work as he was already working with our siding company (full house siding project, old siding removed new applied) for the purpose of removing and replacing the electric meter for the house. He was very responsive over the phone and showed up on schedule. We were looking to add some exterior electric during the siding project knowing this would be much easier with the siding off the house. While speaking to Rich I informed him that we had one outlet currently on the outside of the house and wanted to add two more, as well as a light fixture to match one that was on the back side of the house. There were some changes based on his suggestions (these were great and made a lot of sense) so we ended up being short an outlet and cover (again no issue I ran out and grabbed them while he started working). At first everything looked good. He put two of the outlets on a soffit outlet circuit that would be removed, including running one line through the basement to the breaker panel.
My issues with the work, I should have notice at least some right away, were the following: first a junction box that was installed in an unfinished space above our garage did not have a cover (not a big issue but shouldn't be an issue at all). The second issue I luckily noticed before the siding went on, on of our interior outlets wasn't working, it turns out that the feed line for this outlet was cut while cutting the opening for the new outside electric outlet. This is a big issue as the wires were left exposed and could have caused a fire (probably not but still a possibility), I spent a couple of hours finding this and then running a new feeder to the outlet. I was also surprised that no caulk was used for the outside outlet boxes, this is part of the installation process to make sure they are water tight. I will be adding this as well.
Overall for a few hours of work thought the price was a little high and was very upset that the work was done poorly. Was also not impressed by Richards lack of professionalism, he did a good job of putting down the crew working on our siding (a company that he works with a decent amount, I don't have a problem that english isn't their first language and if he did should have kept it to himself). Also over the phone was very curt and not what I would expect from a pro. If I don't know who is calling I always answer my phone with my name, I would expect a business owner to answer with a name and or business name, this is nit picky but found to be a good example of the overall experience.

I was very pleased with Rich's professionalism and performance, and his price was reasonable. The original ceiling fan and foyer chandelier were installed when the house was built in 1994 and were in a very high ceiling area of the house where it is open from the first floor to the top of the second floor at about 20'. I had three other handymen and electricians look at the job for me and all 3 were too intimidated to even attempt it. Rich and Greg came in with a combination of portable staging/scaffolding that they built up to about 14' to get access to the ceiling fan and an extension ladder for the foyer chandelier. I was sweating just watching them try to pull it off but they did an awesome job, all the while doing a great job of also protecting my newly refinished hardwood floors. I absolutely plan to use Rich again.

It went great! I called at 8:00 PM to set up an appointment and he said he could come first thing the next morning. He showed up when he said he would the next morning! The issue was my fault, when I changed the switches in my kitchen to the decora type I had shut off all the breakers. I apparently missed one when I turned them back on. I felt like such an idiot but Richard was very nice and didn't change me for the visit.
I would highly recommend him any day and he will be my first call next time I need an electrician! Thank you Richard

Went very smoothly. Was a small job and Richard came about a week after I called him. He came in, did the work very efficiently, was courteous and friendly, and charged a reasonable price.

Very easy to work with Richard. One call, returned promptly, scheduled for saturday (actually sooner than I expected). Confirmed the day before. Worked through a list of various problems, an external light shorting out, alarm system power, garage light, etc. Answered questions, was patient. Fair price for the work, would definitely use Richard again.

Richard Casey was prompt, efficient and very professional. Put the ladder up in the entry way unscrewed something and said this won't take long. He was right. It took all of 20 minutes to switch chandeliers and took about 45 minutes to put the lamps in the chandelier together. After, he went right to the bedroom switch and whalaa and gt;8 minutes he had the switch installed and working.

I called Rich on Monday to see if I could get a quote on the needed electrical work for my kitchen remodel. Since I would be home on Wednesday, Rich agreed to come by and look at the job. Rich arrived when agreed and we discussed the work. Rich had some great ideas about positioning of light and recommendations of switch and outlet positioning. Rich also said that he could do the work and still allow for so flexibility after we decided on the lighting. Rich made arrangements to come back the next day to complete the rough electrical since the plumbing would be done and the wallboard guys would be in within the week. Rich completed the rough in and told me to call when the cabinets were in so he could complete the finished electrical. Rich showed up when needed and completed the work. Rich answered his phone every time I called and kept me informed of any issue during the job. This was a great experience and I am using Rich to do additional work now.

Rich worked steadily, completing each task without any problems. His many years of experience are obvious. His rates for work were clearly listed on his invoice and very fair.
We plan to do more remodeling in the next few years (bathroom, basement, etc.), and we will definitely rely on Rich to do all of the electrical work.

I initially called to get an estimate on a list of electrical work I needed done in my home. My call was immediately returned at the time I had requested because of my work schedule. He came that day and gave me an estimate for the work. We arranged a date for the work, he called the day before and confirmed the time. He even called the next morning when he was running a bit late to ask if it was ok, which was just fine. He arrived on time, worked very hard all day and didn't even take a break. I had a very problematic outlet that was broken which would have been a difficult fix and he spent a lot of time trying to diagnose it, not charging any extra for it. He was very considerate of my husband who was working at home so he wouldn't lose Internet or interfere with his calls. He cleaned up and put everything back. I was so pleased I am planning to have him come back and put in more fans and do a few more electrical jobs outdoors! Very pleased!

Richard responded promptly to my initial phone call and offered to come and complete the work 2 days later. He arrived on time and finished the work in less than 3 hours. He did a great job and cleaned up after he finished. He was courteous, respectful, and professional. I appreciate that he was willing to take on a small job. I felt he was honest and his bill was reasonable. I would definitely call Richard again for additional electrical work!

I called the morning of Hurricane Sandy expecting a week or so delay in having a panel installed. Instead, to my surprise, Mr. Casey was able to perform the work that morning. He was very professional, and quickly installed a 10-switch generator panel. Since I was at work, he traced back the appropriate circuits to switch. He prepared a 50-foot generator cable as well. IT was a huge relief to know that if we were to lose power (again), that we would have a quick solution for heat, hot water, and food.

Rick and his coworker Billy worked steadily and efficiently fishing lines through the house. Rick asked me about how I wanted the fixtures oriented before installing them, and where I wanted the outlets, which I appreciated. They swept up the drywall dust and picked up their trash before leaving. I plan to call him again when other renovations are underway. I especially appreciated his quick response to my initial inquiry, because I had hired another electrician who turned out to be too busy to schedule my job. The electrical work needed to be done before other work, and Rick made time in his schedule.

We discovered water in basement around boiler / hot water tank and realized it was because the Condensate pump was not working. The power outlet the Condensate pump was plugged into was not working and we could not figure out why it was not working. Called Rich around 7 PM and he said he could swing by to take a look at it. He found the Condensate pump was connected to a fault protect outlet and the fault protect outlet was broken. He replaced the outlet immediately and it fixed the problem. It was really great Rich was able to fix this promptly. The basement is finished with nice rugs and furniture that could have been damaged.

Rich arrived right on time. He was very professional. He worked very efficiently and diligently. He even tried to do his work quietly as to not awake our 10 month old sleeping baby. The price was well under his estimate and about $400 under the estimates given by other electricians. We plan to use his services in the future when we need more electrical work done. We highly recommend his services.

Richard was great. I had a few small electrical jobs that needed to be done. Richard got back to me after work the next day, and actually came down to do the work on the spot! He had some spare time after hours and wanted to knock it out right then so it didn't have to wait behind bigger jobs. This was incredible service imho. He knocked out the small jobs in no time and charged a very fair pro-rated rate.

Richard Casey was very professional and easy to work with every step of the way. He is a one-man operation, so one does have to wait a little longer for a return call, but he does respond. His final charge for service matched his estimate exactly, even when there were a few delays in the job due to home-owner confusion and disorganization. He was very personable and friendly to my young son. Also, I accidentally mis-wrote his check, and he was very understanding about it, even though I'm sure it was a big annoyance for him to drive back and get a new check. I would and plan to to hire him again.

Richard Casey answered the phone when I called. When he heard that my house was for sale and I needed the lights switched out immediately, he found a way to add a person so that his team could help me the next day. The two electricians were prompt, professional and friendly. The new chandelier had some broken components and they made it work. Then they showed me what to return to the store and have replaced and how to fit it on the light myself in order to make everything perfect. They worked neatly and quickly and were very kind. This is truly the best experience I have had with electricians.
