The overall experience was great from start to finish. The price was reasonable compared to other contractors. The project started and was completed within the time frame that they quoted. They also stayed within the budget they quoted. Whenever I had questions or needed to add or change something Quality Additions was very accommodating and responded to promptly to my requests. I would highly recommend Quality Additions for any home project and would higher them to work on my home in the future.

Overall this was a far better experience than I had anticipated....you hear lots of stories about how bad things can get. Quality additions did a really great job. First of all, they took on a special loan we had to get called a 203K...so the way they got paid was different from what they were used to, all the way through the process. I was glad they decided to try it, as loan process was much easier than it looked at first. Work moved very quickly in the beginning, removal of the old room and framing of the new addition only took a few weeks at most. The majority of the work was completed in two months! The finishing touches, removal of the old stairs and building the new pantry took about a month. The original estimate for everything to be done was 6-8 weeks....in total it took about 14 weeks. (which is why I only gave a B and not an A for punctuality) But overall, it is still very good timing, as we were able to use most of the space after about 8-10 weeks. Due to the nature of the addition, we were inconvenienced very little throughout the process. The owner and project manager were very nice to deal with, as were the many contractors. Many even worked on weekends to get the work done. I would highly recommend using Quality Additions for your home remodeling projects!

While any kitchen remodel has it's glitches and stresses the project went more smoothly than I expected. I had researched materials, read books, talked to many people, and watched plenty of DIY programs for nearly 2 years before starting the project.

The only real surprise that brought the price slightly over quote was all the insulation falling down (12" of celulose) at demolition. Nothing was holding it up but the ceiling board. The cleanout, strapping, and replacment of the insulation resulted in a $600 add on.

The entire project took about 8 weeks. The only reason it took that long was that I was not able to work from home for about 8 days so contractor had no access. Nearly every day that plaster and floor were not drying out work proceeded. There was no "we have to go to another job, see you in a couple of weeks".

The communication with the project manager was exemplary throughout the entire process. I used to work for a commercial flooring contractor and wrote up commercial quotes for a living, so I was a stickler about getting everything spelled out in detail. While contractor was not my lowest quote (hence the "B" price) the initial quote was far more detailed and accurate than the others. When technical challenges arose (for example just how to route the exhaust ductwork the best way was tricky) they were always able to figure out a way to make it work. During the project we were in daily communication, primarily through email and texting, when he was not on site.

The owner stopped by almost every day that work was being done to check on progress. He, the project manager, and all of the workers and subs were both pleasant and professional at all times.

My kitchen came out beyond my expectations. The attention to detail, particularly in the carpentry, was fantastic.
