They fixed numerous leaking joints in the filter set up and took apart the entire filter to look for leaks.  Acid washed it and put it back together and vacuumed the pool.  They changed broken and leaky valves.

From the beginning when I first contacted them for an estimate, they were responsive , answered all my questions, followed up etc. Then when I decided to go with them, within a week I got a call that the unit was in and that they could come by and install it a few days. The installation went great, they hooked up the heater and re-plumed all the other connections to my pump and filter. I have a whole new set up, at no extra cost. They recommended a great electrician, who again was fair and responsive. The heater will be connected the same week. I wanted a solar cover and purchased one from them, but the owner recommended I look on line for a roller, since it would be cheaper that way instead of purchasing from him. I can't be happier with the service, responsiveness and attention Holmes pool gave me during this process.

They did an excellent job and exactly as what I wanted.  They were reasonably priced and did a great job.  I liked their services and will use the same in future.

When we first scheduled them to come I had down that it was to be on a Wednesday. When they did not show, and I finally got through on the phone to someone, they saw they had Thursday down for the apointment. Since that date would not work, they rescheduled me to be the first appointment on Saturday. The crew showed up on time and fairly quickly closed the pool. They did not cover the pump with a tarp, as I was used to from the other company, so I ended up covering it myself. Regarding the price. I went with this company because they were the cheapest. Unfortunately I should have asked for a little more info on the quote. When they quoted $265 without chemicals I figured I would either have the chemicals they needed or that they would cost about $20. (What I had been previously charged with my old pool company after using product I already had.) I don't know if this year I just ran out of everything or what, but the chemicals came to $80. Much more than I thought they would be. In hindsite I now know I should have asked for an estimate on the chemicals, but also they should be giving a range of pricing so that the buyer is aware of what the total amount might be. There was another quote that I received that was $30 more, but it included all the chemicals. I might have gone with them if I had known more at the time.

They pumped out my pool in preparation for removal two days later. As a major rain storm was on its way, they also removed the bottom of the liner and poked a hole in the bottom of the pool so that the rain water could drain out.

We bought a home and inherited a pretty old pool that we could not get clean. We determined that the filter was the likely problem so we called around looking for pool services and in the process called Holmes pools. They came over to find a very green pool, and a rather old DE filter. They gave us several options, including replacing the existing screens on the old filter. We opted for a brand new filter with a "bump" mechanism on their recommendation. They re-connected the existing filter without any screens so that we could run our pump and shock the pool over the weekend. Bright and early Monday morning they came by with our new filter. They hooked it up and even patched several holes in our skimmer. They took the time to explain how our new filter worked and how to maintain our pool properly, included a very nice FAQ they had put together and gave us a copy of. They charged us only for the filter, and were nice enough to throw in a couple of other small items at no cost (filter stand, ring for our skimmer basket). Since the cost of the filter was expensive ($1000) they also did not charge us for the small patch job around the skimmer. During the installation they asked whether or not we wanted to install a Chlorinator. Since they had to re-do some of the plumbing for the filter they said it would not be very difficult. The cost of the Chlorinator was $200. We opted to have it installed. This was the only reason that the final bill was higher than the estimate. The only surprise was that the filter could not use the existing hole in the pool shed to dump the backwash. They gave us a choice of using either a flexible pipe to route the water back to the original hole for the backwash, or to drill a hole in the floor and use a short pipe. Since our shed has a simple wood floor and I did not like the sound of the flexible pipe, we chose the latter.

Great family run business, excellent communication and punctual. They replaced our liner a few years ago and did a superb job. They have been around for a long time and have the experience and reputation to show. They don't advertise much, so word of mouth was how I found them.
