The cold input pipe on my water heater had rotted quite a bit to point of a slow leak. This is from a ~4 year old heater. Called Fernando who was over promptly the same day given the urgency (we could not use the water heater / were out of hot water). I had already tried someone else who had given up and did not want to open up the rotten pipe. Fernando within minutes of coming over, gave it all his strength and got the rotten pipe out, replaced it and then followed up next day with replacing the pressure-relief-valve that had now started leaking too.

Very smart plumber. Knows the code and knows the tricks of trade. Nice to talk to. Values customers.

Fernando cmae here promptly early in the morning to replace the old kitchen faucet. I did not have  one handy for him to use so he went to a nearby plumbing supp;y store and purchased one for me. The old one was very difficult to remove, as it had been in there for some time. However, with a bit of drilling and muscle work he was able to remove it and replace it with the new one. After a few days, I didn't like the way the new faucet seemed to move in the sink and called him back to have a look. He returned on a Saturday morning and said he knew any other faucet would be the same with a slight amount of movement at the base. He told me to purchase another faucet of my choice, and he would replace it at no charge and return my money for the first faucet. I bought another faucet at Home Depot and he returned later in the week to install it. Before he made all of the hose connections, he asked me first to make sure I was happy with this faucet. It too had a slight movement at the base ( as he
had said it would.)
I then asked him  if he would please reinstall the first faucet. and he did so with no complaints. and 
 at no charge. I would highly recommend Fernando to everyone. I know he will always be the one I
call with any future problems.

I was very satisfied; they had good communication, good service and a reasonable price. I got value for what I paid.

He's friendly. Professional. Comes on time. Gets things done. And is cheerful.
I couldn't ask for more. I've worked with him twice already, and would do it again.

He is very responsive and reliable. Always returns phone calls, shows up on time, and completes the job in the allotted time.
Most recently Fernando helped install a new water line for a new refrigerator. While a common and simple project, the age of our home (built in 1920) complicates every project. In this case he completed the project quickly, and when I asked for a slight adjustment (something I did not outline up front, and changed on him), he returned on a Saturday to finish the job.
I will use Fernando as my primary plumber for all future projects.

Family room renovation: Fernando assessed what I wanted done, made a few suggestions on rerouting water pipes to maximize ceiling height clearance. Another time I used Fernando to install new bathroom fixtures sink, vanity, toilet and faucet on sink and shower. He was prompt, courteous, performed all task professionally and cleaned up after his job was complete. I've used Gonzalez Plumbing several times over the years because he is reliable, returns calls, shows up on time and does excellent work. His charges are fair and I would recommend his services to all.

They did excellent work.  Real nice guy.  Real professional.  He was on time.  Finished when he said he would.  It was the amount of money he said it would cost, there was no surprises, no question marks.  Everything was good, I would recommend him, I have recommended him and would use him again.

I've written reviews of Gonzalez Plumbing (owner Fernando Gonzalez) in the past and am providing an update to confirm the continued excellent level of service. Regardless of his schedule, Fernando always responds.  He is very popular (for good reason) and is not always available for immediate action, but he will contact you.  He doesn't rush a job and will spend the required amount of time to diagnose and correct the issue; it contributes to his limited availability but also to the quality of the work.  Fernando also cares about the homeowner. I've had him call to check in on issues just to ensure that the situation had not worsened and to provide advice about basic interim steps to address problems.
Price. Fernando is a Master Plumber and like many well qualified tradesman he is not inexpensive.  However, he is reasonably priced for the quality of the work.
The only downside to Gonzalez Plumbing is that Fernando is so popular his schedule can at times be limited.   However, he remains our "go-to" plumber.

Fernando determined the location of the leak and replaced the pipe.  He and his assistant were very professional and did excellent work. 
In 2009 Fernando replaced the gas heater and hot water boiler in our house.  We have an old house and he quickly corrected any problem with the old heating pipes.   We are very pleased with this installation.

3 days before our vacation, an outdoor faucet began leaking badly and we cold-called Mr. Gonzalez for help.
Although we've never done business with him before, he provided a quick reply and accurate estimate to fix the broken faucet, replace both faucet heads (at our request) and install the 2 interior shut off valves at the same time. He was able to perform the work before we left and was very prompt and professional.
I would definitely use Mr. Gonzalez again.

Fernando responded to the emergency call within a day. Was clear about charges for emergency calls, was helpful in phone calls. Promptly submitted bid for replacement, set time for new installation and came on time. The job was done efficiently, did a follow up on questions that came up about the install.

Working with Gonzalez Plumbing was extremely positive.  This was our first complete bathroom remodel and we felt overwhelmed at times but Fernando guided us through the process.  From selecting the right fixtures, recommending other contractors, providing remodel recommendations and actually performing the work.  Fernando completely designed the layout of the shower unit.  He asked us what we where thinking and designed exactly what we wanted and more!  Gonazalez Plumbing was extremely accomodating with our schedules which helped a lot.  The work was done extremely well, quick, and we are very proud to show off our new bathroom.  I would highly and easily recommend him to anyone and already have.

      And for those of you who are like me, he made sure that the place was spotless before he left!  And that is HUGE!

The  kitchen faucet in my dad's house was leaking so I called Fernando. He was extremely responsive and, after a short phone conversation, he recommended that I get a new faucet before his service visit. I called on a Wednesday and he was able to get to my dad's house on Friday AM to do the work. Overall, I was happy with the job. He was very knowledgeable and ended up replacing the faucet in just over an hour. My one complaint was the cost. For a job that took 1.25 hours, I thought $225 was high. I know he charges for his travel time so maybe that was part of the cost. I would definitely use his services again but I would make sure to ask for an estimate before he started the work.

Fernando Gonzalez is a fabulous plumber.  I found him on Angie's List over a year ago when the water heater in the home we purchased went out (of course).  Fernando responded immediately and offered terrific customer service and advice. We've used him ever since.  He has tackled huge problems like major leaks to faucet and water filter installations. He also installed a new tankless water heater and services it. He guarantees his work and will return if there are any issues.
He's friendly, professional, and very competent.  He is expensive but I will assure you that his price is more than fair given the quality of his work and the level of his customer service.
He is very popular in the area so we have had a few times where he's needed to reschedule or has forgotten to drop by for minor things. He always makes it right.  I highly recommend him and his work.  It's not finding a service person who never makes a mistake that is valuable to me, it's finding one who is always willing to back his/her work and is responsive to client needs that is invaluable. Fernando will never leave you hanging and will tell it to you straight.  He advised us to wait for a new water heater rather than selling us on the spot, and always provides the options for solutions.  In keeping with best practices, he will always explain and demonstrate his work and document anything he finds (like sending me a picture of the cracked pipe that caused the major leak he spent a day finding).

I started calling various ?Water Heater? people showing up on Angie's List and coincidentally was referred by a colleague to Fernando Gonzalez who was coming up shortly on my list anyways. He, like others understood the situation and explained that this is very likely a new Water Heater situation, but unlike many others he offered a free visit to ?assess the situation? and that too on the same day (which was just not working out with anyone else). He got to my home on time as promised and quickly confirmed that we in-fact needed a new boiler. Once we agreed on a price, which also was on the lower end of the range I was getting over the phone (I had a Power Went Heater which apparently are more expensive, unfortunately). He was then prompt in ordering one for me, got it within a couple of hours (same day) and unpacked the new boiler right in front of me. Now begins the best part, the speed and the smoothness of removal of the old boiler and installation of the new one was very impressive, I almost wish that I made a video of it as it was literally a ?walk in the park? for him. Bottom-line, here is a Water Heater guy I will be calling in a few years when this new one breaks/ leaks as he knows what he?s doing and makes it look like something I can do.
