carpet cleaners
 + -1 moreOverall, it was a total waste. It did not dry. Ended up ripping out all the carpet, perhaps getting ripped off for the $500 I spent with them and had to install a new floor $$$. The company may be okay for a simple carpet cleaning but I would strongly recommend against using them for flood problems. What I found is that the personel must not have been properly trained to do any serious flood recovery. Had I used a company that really knew what they were doing, I might have been able to save the carpet.
Description of Work: Called, said my basement flooded the previous night and could they save my carpet. They said yes and the extraction would cost $150. One of their workers came to the house about two hours late, looked at the job and said it would be $500 because flood situations cost more money. Not have many options left, I reluctantly went along with it thinking that if I could save the $1800 carpet I just installed the previous year, it would be worth it. The guy was there one hour. He brought the extraction machine down to the basement, extracted the water in the carpet, (but unfortunately not in padding), sprayed some chemicals and left a fan.
