Dave's Overhead Doors

The main spring snapped on my garage door late one weekday evening. I called Dave and left a message that night, and he called me back first thing the next morning, which was great because I was unable to lift the door and get my car out for work. He came by before 8am and put a temporary patch on the spring so my garage door would be useable, and ordered a replacement spring that day. The replacement spring came in a week later, and Dave came over to do the install and grease the tracks, etc. All in all, he was very prompt, reliable and professional. Look no further if you have any issues such as mine, he was great.

Highly recommend Dave's Overhead Doors!  I  left a message and think he called me back within an hour.  We set up an appointment to come the next day at 8am.  He arrived at 8am on the dot!  He was able to do a "tune up", diagnose another problem and fix it within 2 hours.   He was friendly and highly knowledgeable.  Will definitely call again if we have any other issues!

Dave was great.  Our garage was quite challenging and we were also concerned with insulation.  Dave helped with great suggestions and took care to seal all areas when work was done.  He and his helper did a great job with cleanup afterwards as well.  He also surprised us with a nice upgrade as well without further cost to us as well.  I'd highly recommend him to anyone!

No need to look further! Dave is the professional garage door man you want. no helpers he does the work all himself. He walks the walk and talks the talk. Very fair prices.

It sounds simple but what makes the work done by Dave rate the 'A' is that he was able to custom fit a garage door opener around the "I" Beam support that runs across the width of our under house garage and reduces the headroom.  We had been told before that we couldn't have an opener due to clearance issues, but when we decided to replace our old wooden door we figured we would ask.  Dave customized the installation so that he could install an opener and everything fit just right, not simply "OK".  His willingness to do the job right despite some addtional labor, at no added cost, was something we had read about in his previous Angie's List reviews and we're happy to say it seems to be his common practice.
Prior to the job, Dave came to the house within 24 hours of being contacted.  He fully explained the options, timing and costs and began the job on time and fully completed it within 2 days.  He explained the functioning of the door and opener and  how to adjust settings if we ever need to.
We are very satisfied with the work and would hire Dave again.

Called this morning at 9:00am, Dave returned my call before 10:30am. Said he could be here between 12 and 1:00pm. Arrived as promised and completed Job by 1:30pm. Now that is great service!!

I called Dave to come over and quote 2 new garage doors with all new hardware and new openers.  1 double door and 1 single door.  He came over the very next day, and quoted the job on the spot.  I received 1 other quote and Dave's was the best quote.   The other quotes didn't' include disposal of the old doors and hardware.  I was looking for a "one stop shop" type of guy and I found it with Dave.  Removal of old doors, installation of new doors w/openers and new push button pads in the garage was all done in one day.  Dave cleaned up so well, I almost didn't regognize my own garage when I walked into it.  I highly recommend Dave's Overhead Doors.

DAVE IS AWESOME!  Home Depot - Enfield hooked me up with a terrible garage door installer (Conte Door Service, Westfield).  When I saw the incomplete/defective installation I checked Angie's List right away.  I called Dave and left a message.  He called back in less than 10 minutes.  I told him my tale of woe and he said, "If you can be home tomorrow morning between 8 and 8:30 I can fix it tomorrow".
Dave showed up at 8:30, looked at the problem and said, "Yeah, I can fix this".  I left him in my garage and went to work.  He called me at 9:30 to tell me that everything was working perfectly.  He charged me much less than what I thought his emergency service was worth.  REALLY NICE GUY!  He also does snow plowing and rubbish/junk removal according to the sign on his truck.  Use this guy, he's super cool!

Dave is without a doubt one of the best contractors I have ever hired.  He originally installed two new doors this past summer and (at the time) we opted to wait on new openers.  When one of the openers went kaput, I called Dave on a Friday and left a message.  He got back to me over the weekend and was at our house first thing Monday morning.  By noon, we had two new quality openers installed flawlessly, and with safety mechanisms (to protect the little ones), for a very reasonable price.  I recommend Dave unequivocally... he is the type of contractor that will always work hard to do a top quality job, on time, for a reasonable price.... a very trustworthy contractor.  The high ratings on Angie's List are more than well-deserved.

Dave was great. Our spring was broken in our garage and we could not use it. We barely were able to get the garage door open it was so heavy.  Dave came by the next morning on a Saturday. He said he had to order a special part.  I told him I was leaving on vacation the next day and if you could come back after that.



He said no problem but in  the meantime free of charge we was able to do a temporary fix so we could use the garage and store our cars. He also noticed we did not have a handle on the garage and installed one as well.



Back from vacation, I called him and he came back and fixed it right a way!!!!

Exceptional... I couldn't be happier.  I reached out to 4 companies... went with Dave after narrowing to 2.  Pricing was the most competitive, and service/responsiveness could not have been better.  Dave even did some work that was more 'customized' than the standard install, to meet our unique requirements.  At a time when I see a lot of contractors settle for 'ok' work, its refreshing to work with someone like Dave takes his work very seriously.  A-1 operation and you will not be disappointed.

Dave was prompt , friendly and honest about my garage door options. Another company suggested/recommended new garage doors and an opener system, to the tune of $1500.+. Dave saw the value of keeping the wood doors, which are sturdy and not prone to dents as newer,metal doors may be. His frank assessment was refreshing and saved me a bundle. Thank you!

The guy who came did well.  His price was reasonable. He did the work promptly and efficiently, and he was just very professional.  I would absolutely use him again in the future.

Dave was prompt and professional, he adjusted everything perfectly and even called later in the evening to make sure it was all working properly and to our satisfaction. If I ever need another garage door or service I will call Dave without hesitation, I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is perhaps the most professional and courteous contract I have met. 

I had priced around 5 different installers and found Dave on Angie's list. he had nice reviews so I gave him  a call. He came to the house and I explained what type of doors I was looking for. He gave me a great price. He ordered the doors, called me when they were in and set up a day to install them. He showed up on time the day he said he would and did a great job. If you need garage doors Dave is the one to call.

I called on Monday and he returned my call promptly.  We made an appointment for the next day and he called shortly before he arrived.  He fixed the problem with one garage door and oiled and greased both..  He took his time to adjust each  door as they had never closed all the way down although that was not why I called him.  Very knowledgeable and competent.

Spoke with Dave on the phone explained our garage, he bought the items he thought he would need. He arrived evaluated the two garage doors and decided that we needed a pair of new springs. I ran off to HD to purchase the springs, and Dave installed them. Dave was on time brought the correct equipment, he was polite, his prices were very competitive and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again, we even recommended him to our neighbor.

Dave was very responsive - returned my initial call promptly, came over to provide the quote for the job quickly, and performed the job within a couple of days. He informed me of when he would be there, when he was done, and also followed up to make sure I was happy with the finished product. Great customer service overall and I'm very happy with my new door! Would definitely recommend Dave.
