We are always so pleased with the results of any work that Ben and his crew do and this was no exception.  Everything was handled by Ben from start to finish, including all of the coordinating with plumbers, electricians, cabinet and counter company, etc. He always asks at every stage if we are pleased with the plans and results before proceeding to the next stage.  Once again, the end result was exactly as we wanted.  The detail in Ben's finish work is beautiful.  Everything went smoothly and we couldn't be happier with the result.

From start to finish, the job went very smoothly and only took a few weeks longer than we had anticipated to finish .  Absolutely beautiful results and we couldn't be happier.  Ben and his crew arrived on time every day and worked with us on each and every detail. At the end of each day, they cleaned up thoroughly.  Ben made sure we were happy with every aspect of the job as it progressed.  We now use Ben and crew to do any upgrades to our home. Excellent results each time.

Aside from various small jobs, this was the first project where I used Swiss Appeal Carpentry.  And now living with the final result, I am so happy that I chose Ben and his crew to do the job.  Because of the complexity of the structure and the size of the project, the project took  a few weeks longer than expected to complete, but that was acceptable given the beauty and quality of what was delivered.  Swiss Appeal handled all aspects of the project - coordination with the architect, electrician, foundation contractor, ordering/ delivery of materials, permitting, and final painting.  While there are many things to emphasize about this project, what impressed me most was Swiss Appeal's commitment to the project and to me as the client.  Specially, the year following the completion of the project, I had a problem with the porch windows (the marine climate caused the wood frames to expand).  In response, Ben returned to the site and adjusted the fittings to resolve the problem, and I was not charged for the service.  Very commendable. I would also note that Ben stepped up and represented my interests to other contractors when I was not on site.  Ben held the mason accountable for quality work when paving the spa and ensured that shortcuts and shoddy work were corrected before the job was complete.  This is all the more laudable, since I had hired the mason on my own and had not asked Ben to provide oversight.  Also, when the spa was delivered, it unexpectedly required the removal of an existing wall in the new enclosure.  Again, Ben handled this issue by removing the wall and facilitating the installation.

I recommend this company very highly.  All aspects of the project went smoothly, on schedule, on budget and there were no surprises.   Ben is very communicative - if he had a question or an in-field recommendation - he would track me down via phone, email or text to discuss before moving forward. As a working professional, I could not be at the site on a daily basis.  However, I felt totally informed and completely in control of the decision making.  Since the project was at a vacation home, Ben sent me pictures on a daily basis to keep me on top of the job.  The end result is beautiful.  We do a lot of entertaining at our vacation home, and I have received numerous compliments on the project.
At this point, I trust Ben implicitly.  He is my-man-on-the-job.  Not only does Swiss Appeal perform superior quality
work at a reasonable price, but he's conscientious and highly ethical - operating with impeccable integrity (as well as craftsmanship).  I recommend Swiss Appeal Carpentry to anyone who asks, and I recommend him to all of you.
In terms of background, I have engaged in several home renovations over the last 20 years on various properties, and I have had more than my share of issues with contractors.  You can imagine what a delight it is to find a company like Swiss Appeal Carpentry that focuses on your satisfaction and delivers quality craftsmanship according to agreed terms.

This is the fourth project we have used Ben and his crew to perform over the past 8 years.  
I find him to be easy to work with, providing relatively accurate estimates (admittedly, the estimates for both time and money are not his strongest areas, plan for a 10-15% increase, minimum, in each) and quality craftsmanship.  I am never concerned about having Ben or anyone from his crew in my home when I am not there.  This is a man of real character--he is clean, and not coarse (read--no smoking, drinking or swearing from Ben or his employees).  He provides flexible ideas and solutions to issues as they arise.  We had decided on Ikea cabinets for our kitchen redesign.  Another company measured and provided an estimate for the job, along with some design services.  We chose Ben over the Ikea recommended contractor because of his prices (far lower) and our prior experience with his work.  We were not disappointed.  He worked well with the other contractors on the job, making cuts as the plumber and electrician required and working with the plaster to rework some areas which were unclear.
