Lowe's - Weymouth

They were very professional. They installed everything in one day, tore out the old and put in new. Everything moved quickly from measuring to the install.

It was good. They came and put it in and did everything. They took away the old one.

The only thing is compared to another major home improvement chain, they don't have the same return policy. It's the return policy that bothers me.

Very well from setting up the installation and purchasing and after shopping around found they were very reasonable priced.

I only went with them because they had the financing thing. Their customer service was really excellent from the person that I worked with at the store to the installer. They had a wide selection of doors to choose from and their pricing was good.

I think think they are a little bit better than Home Depot. I ask someone, where are your shower heads, it is a big store. I didn't know which one would give me the best pressure. Finally somebody walked by that worked there. They got someone who talked to me about shower heads and how much pressure you can get out of them. Some have a combination, some have water savers. That was very helpful. I got one with a bunch of different sprays.

Overall our experience was poor. The subcontractor was great and in fact was by far the best part of the experience. Lowes on the other hand, was horrible. I had to call several times to move our installation along. In one case the paperwork was not submitted until I called to remind Lowes. I had already paid. Several calls each ended in my being transfered multiple times and then disconnected. I had to speak directly to the manager to get what I needed. In the end, the blinds and shades are up and look great, but I would never again use this Lowes for any of their installation services. Their competitors, including other Lowes, do a better job with customer service.

The Lowe's salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable about doors and helped me pick the best doors for my needs. The contractors, though polite and nice, were not very dependable. They did not follow through when they said they were going to call, order parts, schedule appointments, etc. They were unorganized when they did make appointments (one rep would schedule the work on Tuesday, then another would call to say it was the following Thursday). They cancelled appointments because they didn't order parts. They didn't explain the process, resulting in confusion and delays. It seemed they just didn't care. After 2 months of this, I became so frustrated that I just wanted my money back and decided to find another contractor. The Lowe's customer service department promptly refunded my money when I explained the situation to them. Surprisingly, they did not offer an apology. That would have been one way for them to retain a customer.

THE SALES PEOPLE WERE POLITE, THE PRICE WAS GOOD. THE SALES PEOPLE WERE NOT AS KNOWLEDGEABLE AS THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN REGARDING THE PAD.
