Kirk and team are fantastic! They were right on time, super efficient, and very professional. I had received a few quotes for the work and theirs was in line with the market. I had one dead tree removed, plus a few large dead branches from other trees, and trimming of a tree that was encroaching on my roof. The team was done in 45 minutes, including raking/sweeping/leaf-blowing the lawn and patio to leave it spotless. I will 100% be calling McKinney in a few years for a health-check on my trees and any needed maintenance work.

The company was highly professional and did exceptional work. They were extremely punctual, hardworking and cleaned everything up after themselves. I would highly recommend this company and have already used them twice. And the owner is very responsive and very easy to work with.

Kirk was extremely conscientious about trimming our large holly tree, which was being treated for tar spot. He double checked to make sure that the tree could indeed be trimmed (due to the treatment) before performing the work. In addition to shaping the holly tree, Kirk and his crew trimmed back tree limbs that were hanging over our garden beds, and they shaped another tree in our front yard. All of the work was performed carefully and meticulously, and it was done at a reasonable cost. I would definitely hire them again.

Great! I wasn't there when the work was conducted, but based on calls with kirk, I trusted him. And it paid off! I had my tree pruned for service electric line to my house. didn't want a crecent carved out of my tree. MB did a great job pruning the tree and keeping the trees shape. will hire them again to thin out the tree in the winter

After talking to 5 different tree removal/trimming companies I received a referral from a friend and reached out to McKinney Brothers. It was so refreshing to talk with someone that understood our needs and wanted to help shape the vision of the property. We had a number of pines that took up the backyard, some Bradford pears that outgrew their space as well as some large trees in the front of the house that we wanted to be trimmed back from the roof. The communication/experience was fantastic and I would absolutely recommend/ hire again.

Kirk McKinney and his crew are great. Kirk came and walked through all the trees we wanted removed or pruned and made recommendations based on the location and health of the trees. He gave us the estimate during the meeting. We then scheduled the services for a few weeks later. They called the Friday before to tell us when they could come. Kirk and his crew called to make sure they could come early to beat a rain storm that was coming, and they worked very efficiently to remove 3 large trees and a small crab apple tree, stump grinding two of the stumps. They also pruned a number of trees in our backyard and trimmed some branches from a tree hanging over the street. They cleaned up nicely after themselves and took all the debris with them. Overall, they were great and we have given their name to other friends.

Superb. I hired McKinney 5 years ago and was so pleased then that I hired them again. The cost was $940 for the removal of the 3 trees. It took only 50 minutes from arrival in driveway to their bucket truck and chipper driving away. All 3 trees were chipped, I chose not to request firewood to be set aside. And, by the way, the 30 and 40 foot trees were removed from between two detached garages. This is a professional crew.

We got several quotes. McKinney was among the lower bids. We chose Kirk because he was clearly interested in the health of our trees as well as the aesthetics of the whole yard -- especially our treasured Japanese maple. He suggested careful trimming of huge Norway maples in the back rather than hacking or completely cutting down, as some others proposed. His big crew arrived on the dot, he personally rose up in the huge rig and did the major branch cutting himself, consulting with us as he went. He reduced tree weights dramatically but carefully. I could see they worked safely but very fast. The job was done within a couple of hours. Cleanup was thorough. Wish we'd found him years ago.

As always McKinney was prompt, efficient and professional. The crew showed up right on time and performed the work in about an hour. More importantly, this company really cares about trees and their health, and will do everything they can to save and improve your trees. Also, they have never tried to talk me into unneeded services, as many other outfits do. They are the most thoroughly honest people I've ever dealt with. And their prices are always more than reasonable.

Kirk did work for us 10 years ago so we asked him to give an estimate to remove a Norwood Maple. The estimate was not the cheapest but right in the middle. He was very friendly and prompt for the day of the work. On the day he came with his bucket truck and 5 or 6 workers and efficiently and cleanly took down the tree.

Kirk was able to stop by my home an evaluate what needed to be done without me having to be there. He made recommendations based on home inspection criteria. He quoted me a price and no adjustments were made. The crew was able to add on some last trimming to my overgrown thick hedges as well. The crew were very professional and timely. They did a great clean up after the job was finished.

Overdue review for tree trimming done in March 2017. Just outstanding customer service and professionalism. The actual job was performed very smoothly and efficiently. The McKinney Brothers and their crew operate like a well-oiled machine. The tree that they pruned is in a very tough spot but that did not deter them. It was clear they had a plan they executed with tremendous efficiency. They were careful where they parked their trucks and had crew members ready to catch any branches before they got anywhere near the house. My neighbor and I could not be any happier with the job.
