I've taken a lot of vehicles down there, I drive a lot of oddball cars. They've been really good about getting some obscure parts. They were able to burn a custome computer chip for the ignition module for me. That really impressed me. I've also had my brakes done there.

We get all our cars fixed there. They are very professional. They give us ride back home and deliver the car if we like later. It's a huge and great service. The mechanics are very knowledgeable. They have the most up-to-date computer diagnostic services to figure out what's going on with the vehicle. They are pretty accurate in letting us know the time it would take to fix the car. We have not priced them out with other places. We don't have any comparison.

Responding to a survey Weston Automotive sent me in response to my experience, here's my response:
and quot;Shortly after moving to Weston from out of state, my wife reported a low coolant light went on in her car and the engine may have overheated. I brought the car to Weston Auto for a diagnostic. Later that day (I had to call to get status), he informed me that they discovered an overheated head gasket that was leaking and potential damage to the engine. He requested permission to take the engine apart to determine the extent at a cost of 3-5 hours of work (@$105 per hour). Over the next couple days, I had to call in to get status and was told a number of additional diagnostics needed to be done to determine the extent of the damage. On Friday, August 5th I got a call indicating the worst case scenario: due to the engine not being cooled properly there was rod shrinkage and the pistons were 3-4 mm from reaching the top of the head due to the rod shrinkage. He recommended an engine replacement ($1,350 for a used engine with 89,000 miles on it) for a total cost of approx. $3,000. I decided to take the car and get a second opinion. He said it wouldn’t go more than 2 minutes without overheating which didn’t happen. At the other shop, they did a number of tests, including a temperature check (normal), determined the head gasket was ok, but felt there was a small leak somewhere. They put a dye in the engine, drove it around and using an infra red device determined the leakage was coming from the water pump. They replaced the water pump ($75) and after more than three weeks, everything is running great. I can only assume Weston Automotive is either:
1. Lazy: Not willing to put in the necessary steps to perform a real diagnosis of the problem
2. Inexperienced technicians who jumped to a worst case scenario because they didn’t have the correct knowledge or experience
3. Dishonest – this shop saw that I was from out of state and maybe just passing through and saw an opportunity to take advantage of me. With any of those above scenarios, I paid $105 for a faulty diagnosis. I will let my friends and colleagues in Weston know of my experience and let them decide whether they want to do business with your company. I will not. Please take me off your email distribution list.and quot;
I have not heard back from them since, but they did take me off their distribution list per my request.

They are fast, courteous and clean and they get the job done and they do not do things that are not needed to your car, they do not try to force stuff on you. They can take the cars right away which is nice too.

They communicate well, including when they can't figure out what's wrong with the car, which is rare. Steve is frank, forthright and trustworthy.

I have gone there in the past for auto repair. They are quick with getting me an appointment and completing the work. They show you the problem and tell you what needs to be done. They are knowledgeable and provide a good service at a good rate.

Weston Automotive has been one of the 2 shops we've been using for the last few years. Over that time, we've had numerous repairs large and small performed. They are always friendly and professional. Turn around time is average, and I wish they were open on Saturdays, but they are generally finished when promised. On our most recent repair, last month, our car was towed to the shop because out brakes had locked up. I needed the car the next day, and they were able to get it completed by the end of the next day and at the estimated cost. Prices are fair, and I completely trust their diagnosis of problems and the scope of work they feel necessary.
