The quote was reasonable, and the work was performed exactly as specified: they started and finished on time, and our beaten up floor was left looking better than we first finished it. Cannot recommend highly enough.

After 17 years, our floors definitely needed serious attention. I had procrastinated for so long because moving the furniture was overwhelming. After a friend's recommendation, I called Goddard Floor Soecialists. They did an excellent job, and I"m so happy with the floors now. This is a family business that's been operating for decades, and their staff has been with them for many years. They were professional and clean--barely any dust anywhere when they were done. Best of all, for a small additional fee, they moved the heavy furniture to one side of the house and did half the floors. When that was done, they moved it all back and did the same thing with the other half of the house. Highly recommend.

Goddard Floors renovated our kitchen floor in May 2017. It was in terrible condition after years of abuse, many angles and moldings to complicate things. Job went like clockwork with every defect noticed and fixed. Almost no dust, thanks to careful sealing. Every morning the crew showed up exactly when promised. Now we have a beautiful floor that looks like new. Great job!

Per above, a finish on 1sst floor (semi-g.) which is reminiscent of the waterfront outside...can somebody say 'natural'? The upstairs is like a recovered old armchair-I almost want to keep from putting superflous objects back-like chairs, beds, furniture. The only thing that would have been niftier in the pre-contract stage was if their website had a larger selection of homes and corresponding finishes to run a mouse over and learn about. The amount of McMansions this company has worked on must be similar to Beverly Hills/Hollywood Hills, and I can imagine a few pushy-posher customers than myself. BOTTOM LINE: they don't treat you with any snobbery, nor talk over your head etc. If I could do the ceiling in planks, I would have them in on it as well. Just remember, oil base looks great, but if you have allergy/asthma, etc, you might want to move elsswhere during the work!

The new floors look great.  They helped us to pick out the right floors.
They always took extra care to be sure that dust did not get into any part of the house that wasn't being worked on, and took extra care to ensure no dust got in the kids rooms in particular.
At the end of each day, they cleaned up to be sure the house was safe. 
It was a loud process, and they were diligent about warning us about that.  
They properly estimated cost and duration of the project.  At the end of the project, they brought some guys over to move the piano as well, without extra cost. 
They also gave us some floor cleaner. :-)

Excellent service.    Project took longer than expected due to the way the tile had been laid by previous contractor.  All Goddard employees were very professional and courteous and did great work.  The floors look beautiful.

We were very satisfied.  They were not the cheapest, but quality and service were top notch.  They returned to correct minor problems without complaint.

From start to finish the job went very well!  My contact at the company gave me her cell phone number if I had any questions before, during and after the job.    The crew arrived on time, and communicated with me about the status of the process.   They covered areas that had carpeting and my kitchen cabinets so I would not have dust there.  We did sleep in the house during the sanding process, but stayed with family during the finishing process since that week was particularly humid and the floors did not dry as quickly as anticipated.  We came home to gorgeous floors, and feel like we have a new home.  The one thing that Goddard does is they require a $200 fee for the estimate which gets credited back to you if you hire them.  I did not have a problem with that since I Goddard was so highly recommended by people I trust, that I did not even look for another estimate.  I was dreading having to move everything out and they removed that worry!!!   Love the experience,

Amazing work!  Our floor looked better than it did when it was first installed 12 years ago.  They were neat, professional and  courteous.  They taped every inch of cabinetry to minimize dust intrusion and made a temporary wall between the kitchen and family room to keep out pets from straying into the work areas.  I still walk into the kitchen and marvel at what a terrific job they did.  After refinishing the porch floor once or twice ourselves, it needed some TLC.  They advised us what finish options might work best and we could not be happier with the result!

I  had a 160sf room that needed sanding and refinishing.  Other prices I received ranged between $500- $1200. Most  were not concerned about  doing such a small job.  Glen came to look at the floor, gave me a verbal estimate and followed that up with an electronic statement that day.  I had asked  for a water based refinishing process  to be done in 3 consecutive days, and Glen  sanded the floor  and put a sealer on day1. On day 2 they buffed the floor and applied first coat of finish. On day 3 they they buffed floor and  applied 2nd coat of finish as we agreed.  Several of the other bidders wanted to do this all in one day, allowing  only a few hours for finish to dry( not what the manufacturer recommends.... mfg.  Bona). They cleaned up  and they did not damage any of the surrounding molding.  Floor looks great.

I have used them before and they were excellent. They were punctual. They did an excellent job. They were very clean and neat. I highly recommend this company.

The floor installation jobs went extremely well. They were easy to work with and have high standards, very honest and professional. The floors turned out beautifully, and when there were a few minor details we were concerned about they immediately returned to make sure we were satisfied with the work. We would certainly hire them again if we needed another wooden floor installed and I recommend them very highly

It was a fantastic experience and everything was done perfectly. We had a very tight time line and had a lot of work done and they totally worked with us and got the work done on time.

Very well. glen and his crew arrived the first day. i was surprised glen left, and then only the crew of 2 was left (this worked out fine, he just didn't tell me that's how the job would get done). the crew cleaned up very well each night (except one night, i had to dust the stairwell and the floors had not been cleaned of saw dust). glen said it would take 3-4 days, and it took 4.5 (they were here full days monday - thursday, and 1/2 day friday). there was some little baseboard flaking that happened due to their machines, and they painted over those spots very well (i had extra paint - and gave it to them, at their request). they were a polite crew and worked hard.

Based on my own experience and what I have seen off the others, they did an excellent job. They were responsive, prompt and they delivered according to our expectations. The whole experience was excellent.

Everything turned out great. My wife was pregnant at the time so we had some tight time constraints, and they were very accommodating. They were careful about keeping the rest of the house dust-free, and did a great job of containing the dust. We were extremely happy with them.

The woman who was the project manager was great. She was very responsive and explained things well. She was very attentive to the dust and dirt that could ruin our house. The actual guys who worked on it were ok, but the work did drag out into a third day, where the original quote was for two. On the whole we are happy with them and the work they did.

Start to finish Glen and his staff were top-notch. Prompt, professional, courteous, and friendly. The floor looks great to boot! Kept the house clean, used plastic to cordon off area and cover cabinets. Correctly leveled floor and set it up to match height of abutting oak floor. I would absolutely recommend them again.

Goddard was extremely professional, pleasant and helpful when we wanted wood floors installed in two rooms and existing floors refinished in two additional rooms. We had just purchased a new home, and they were able to schedule the job quickly so that the floors could be done before our moving day. They also helped us by working around the painters' schedule. For the new floors, they were able to closely match the wood floors in the rest of the house. For the existing floors that were refinished, they gave me the option of renovating or sanding and refinishing, however when the carpets were removed, the floors were bad enough that they needed to be sanded. They used special equipment and lots of taped off hallways and rooms to keep dust to a minimum. Everyone who was here was friendly, professional, and helpful. They called me back right away, even on the weekend. They gave me great advice on maintaining the beauty of my floors for many years to come!

Glenn Goddard was willing to think outside of the box on my floors; he and his crew matched the new stain to existing floor color and used a non-standard finish per our request. The crew went to great lengths to ensure minimal dust remained after sanding. I would hire Goddard Floor Specialists again without hesitation.
