Dan and his crew are great -- I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a small or large building project. I am a huge analyzer of data, especially when I'm looking to spend a lot of money, so I cross-referenced listings on Angie's List with contractors who had done additions in Westford, and arrived at several companies. We interviewed them and solicited bids, and hired IQB based on our meeting with Dan and his architect colleague Al. Dan gave us a price that looked just right based on what we had seen for other additions in Westford (which are public information on the town's website). He also worked with us to get through our town's conservation commission hearings, which was required because the addition would be within 100 feet of a wetland. (It was approved because that area had been lawn for 40 years before the addition, so the addition wouldn't have any further impact.) Not only did we think that Dan and his team did a great job, but we also appreciated their pleasant and professional attitude. Dan even helped with our dog when we went away on vacation (the dog loved Dan too). At one point we had a major sewage backup due to some foreign object the kids flushed down the toilet -- we have five kids aged 12-6, thus the need for the addition -- and Dan helped us with that situation as well. In summary, I think Dan does a great job and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a builder in northeast MA.

I highly rate them. They are very good about attention to detail. Generally speaking, they were very communicative during the estimation process. Their quality of work is excellent. Their price was a little more on the expensive side. I would use Inland Quality Builders again.

The insurance company found Dan and IQB easy to work with for adjustment of damages claims, all paperwork was accurate, properly justified and delivered in a timely fashion. The entire project remained for the most part on schedule, with only a few days delay over the course of a month or so because of weather which is understandable given it was the middle of the winter. The IQB crew was very professional and thorough in their work including some finish details which were outstanding and really made a final difference. Also the crews were responsible in cleaning up after each day since we were also living near/around the construction area. There were one or two items which needed the final work done in the sprint when the weather warmed up, these were also done on time and with good attention to detail. Overall the IQB guys did an excellent job that we have received numerous compliments on and have referred them to other friends. I received almost daily phone calls with the updates as the project was moving forward and appreciated the future planning advice given during various phases of the work. I don't believe that IQB will be the lowest priced of your alternatives, but I would not expect them to be given the quality of the work and transparency in the pricing proposals. They were excellent to work with and will use them again on other projects in the home.
Description of Work: We had a small fire in a three season porch attached to our house which resulted in a lot of smoke damage to that part of the structure as well as damage to some of the supports of the flooring/deck. We brought in our insurance company to assess the damages and provide a list of items/work that would be covered. Dan McGonigle from Inland Quality builders worked with our insurer and the town inspector to make sure that all assessed damages included anything needed to bring the structural work up to code etc. We ended up needing to replace that whole structure/attachment to the house (except for the roof). This included demolition, reframing of the new structure as well as replacement of all windows, doors etc. In addition to the replacement work, we opted to pay additional costs to have the remodeled area connected to the main body of the house via the removal of a wall which IQB also handled. Once the wall was removed IQB seamlessly made the two rooms into one, including stitching the old & new hardwood floors to match managing the ceiling/roofline for optimal height, replacement of panel board with matchin drywall, and ceiling replacement for the new one room.
